Weekend Recap

This past Saturday my best friend Kimberly came to visit me! We went out for burgers and to see a movie Saturday night. We both love Katherine Hiegl so we went and saw Life As We Know It! It was super cute! Have y'all seen it yet? The baby in the movie was adorable!

Sunday we slept in and then went to On the Border for lunch! That night we had a wine and movie night! We rented Sex and the City 2...I'm a huge SATC fan! I had a SATC themed birthday party this past spring!

Before Kimberly left yesterday she came to have lunch with me at school! I was SOOO excited for her to meet my mentor teacher and students! She came about ten minutes before lunch so she was able to see me teach some! I was kinda nervous teaching in front of her! I'm sure she about cracked up watching me teach, ha! : )

Tonight we are going to dinner for Kristan's Birthday! Have a wonderful evening!

Last Weekend of Summer!!!

SLast Friday I went up to the school I will be doing my student teaching at for a work day. My mentor had me write all the students names on their desks, cubbies, etc. You know I loved that! That night was also Meet the Teacher. All the students were so sweet!

Yesterday my aunt came into town to drop off my niece Sadie. Sadie's mom (my cousin Cait) went to float the river this weekend and will be back later today! I have been having fun keeping her!

My friend Kristan also came to visit yesterday! Kristan has been home all summer and will officially be moving back up to College Station soon. : ) We went shopping for most of the day. I found this cute necklace/earrings at Charming Charlies that will go with my outfit for tomorrow! It was only $8!

We also went to Hobby Lobby (one of our favorite stores). I cannot believe that they already have Thanksgiving/Christmas stuff out! There is this picture frame at Hobby Lobby that I have been eying for the last several months.Yesterday Kristan insisted on buying it for me....she is so sweet! Thank you so much Kristan....you really did not have to do that!

Instead of going out last night we figured we would have a wine and cheese night! Yum! We also baked cookies and rented The Last Song with Miley Cyrus! It was really sad but good! 

Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! Wish me luck!!! : ) I'm so excited about this semester. I will also be thinking of all you other teachers out there tomorrow!

A Little Bit of Everything!!!

 This past week I've been blogging all about my vacation so I figured I would update y'all on what I have been up to recently! 

Earlier this week I drove back to College Station from Houston. Monday my cousin came over and we watched The Bachelorette! THANK GOD Justin is gone! Do you really believe that he had another girlfriend or do you think the producers are just trying to spice things up? 

I really liked Craig...I thought he was funny. I wish she wouldn't of got rid of him! My mom texted me after the show saying that I should date him. And then like five minutes later my best friend texted me and said the exact same thing, ha! They think we would be perfect. What do you think?

What do you think about Jake and Vienna?! I heard they are doing an interview next week after The Bachelorette! I bought the new People magazine with Jake on the cover the other day and he thinks Vienna is jealous over his fame.

Last night I ordered Chinese Food and rented a scary movie! What not a better way to spend a rainy Thursday night!

Have y'all ever had crab puffs from a Chinese restaurant before? They are little puffs filled with cream cheese. There SO good!

I rented The Stepfather with Sela Ward. It was kinda creepy! Have y'all seen it? I love scary movies!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Yesterday I spent the day cleaning my room and bathroom. Since I'm now done with school I have more time on my hands to get organized! My room was a wreck! I cleaned out my closet, under my bed, drawers, and organized my new book shelf my parents gave me for the birthday! I'm so proud of myself...I arranged my closet by winter clothes, dresses, pants, and shirts! Next week I hope to tackle my kitchen and living room closet! Here are some before and after pictures! Last night I went out with my friend Katy to Johnny Carinos to eat Italian food! It was fun! Katy is an education major too...she is doing Senior Methods (which what I was in this past semester) in the Fall!

After dinner with decided to go see The Backup Plan with Jennifer Lopez! It was perfect because there was a showing right when we got to the theater. I loved the movie...it was super cute and hilarious!

Something Borrowed, Hurricane Harry's, and Cinco De Mayo!!!

OMG I'm SOOO excited! Have any of ya'll ever read the Something Borrowed and Something Blue book series by Emily Griffin? Well...they are making a movie out of Something Borrowed that is going to be released in 2011! Kate Hudson is going to play Darcy! ;)

I'm finally back in College Station! Do any of y'all listen to Texas Country? My favorite Texas Country group is probably the Eli Young Band. Last night my friend Kristan invited me to go to Hurricane Harry's to see the Josh Abbott Band.

My Weekend!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! My parents and Aunt came into town Friday night for Parents Weekend! Saturday morning we went to the Aggie Mom Boutique....they had a bunch of cute stuff! We got my Grandma a U.T./A&M House Divided stepping stone! Afterwards, we went to the Bevo Burn BBQ.

Last night we all went to the movies to see Date Night with Tina Fey and Steve Carell...it was hilarious! I love both of them!!

My parents left this morning....I always joke that they always leave my place a MESS when they leave!! So I will be spending my day cleaning! Ha!

Yesterday I posted pictures of Caitlin's Aggie Ring Day....here is one last picture I forgot to put up! Kristan was our photographer....she made sure everyone was in the right position!! LOL. I have my content EC-6th Exam tomorrow so I will be studying the rest of today!!!

New Phone, Tanning, and Dinner/Movies with Kristan!

Hey ladies! Hope you all are having a great weekend! Friday I spent most of my day just relaxing since I have been so busy with school this week. On Friday I did go and get a new phone though! My old phone was staring to fall apart....perfect timing because I was ready for an upgrade! I'm not the most tech savvy person so I did not get an iPhone but I got the Chocolate Touch! I love it...it's a touch screen so I'm going to have to get used to it!

Friday night I rented Did You Hear About the Morgans with Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant. It was really cute!
Yesterday I went to the pool at my apartment with my cousin Caitlin and few other people. I need to get a tan! My 23rd birthday is coming up in a few weeks...I'm thinking about going to our apartment's tanning bed for about 2 weeks so I can get a base tan. I'm scared of tanning beds though but 2 weeks shouldn't be that bad.Last night Kristan and I went to dinner/see a movie. We went and watched The Bounty Hunter with Jennifer Aniston! It was cute! Have y'all seen it yet?!
After the movies we went to Rockwells for Kristan's friends birthday.
Poor Kristan had to drink water since she is on a new diet where she can have no carbs for a week or two! :) You can do it Kristan!
Have a great Sunday! Can't believe March is almost over! So excited for April because it's my birthday month and I will be DONE with school forever (except for student teaching)!

This weekend Kimberly, my mom, and I went to get manicures/pedicures! I decided to get solar nails put on....I haven't had solar nails in forever!!! Afterwards, we went and ate at Chili's....we got 50% off since Kimberly works for Brinker!

Last night we went to see Valentines Day. We thought it was SO cute! Have y'all seen it yet?! It has so many stars in it!
We have also been spending our time doing this....but by a pool and not on the beach! :(
I hope to have a good tan by the end of break! Last night we also watched "The Price of Beauty" - Jessica Simpson's new reality TV show. I love Jessica....I remember being so upset when her and Nick broke up! Ha! Her new show is about women around the world and how beauty is seen in other countries. Have y'all heard about it?

Change of Plans, Dear John, and My Celebrity Look Alike!

Change of plans! I ended up not leaving for Dallas yesterday because I had too much to get done (student teaching meeting, homework, laundry, packing, etc). So I am leaving this morning instead! Last night when I finally finished my philosophy of education paper Kristan, Cait, and I all went to TGI Fridays for dinner and to go see Dear John!

This week on Facebook is Doppelganger Week....you are supposed to upload a picture of a celebrity that looks just like you and add it as your profile pic! I went to MyHeritage.com to figure out the celebrity in me! It said that I looked most like Kelly Clarkson, Candice Cameron from Full House, and Drew Barrymore.

I ended posting this pic of Kelly Clarkson as my profile pic on Facebook....I kinda can see a resemblance!

7 Leguas, The Woodlands, Movies, Cheesecake Factory = Perfect Night!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful New Years! Wednesday evening my friend Kristan came down to visit me! We started off our night by going to 7 Leguas for margaritas, chips, and salsa!Afterward, we went back to my house to meet up with my aunt and cousin! I haven't seen Caitlin since break so it was good to see her! My mom, aunt, Cait, Kristan, and I all went to the movies to see It's Complicated with Meryl Streep. It was pretty good...but seeing Alec Baldwin on the big screen with his shirt off kinda grossed me out. We were also sitting on the third row which probably made it worse. Ha!We went to the theatre at Market Street in The Woodlands....which has tons of little restaurants and shops. A new boutique hotel also just opened up right on Market Street called Avia.

Before the movie Caitlin, Kristan, and I went to go check it out! It seems like a fun place to go at night - they have a neat lounge inside. It's so cute and swanky!
After the movie Caitlin and Tina had to head back to College Station since it was getting so late. Kristan and I went to The Cheesecake Factory for our annual Christmas/New Years dinner celebration! It was sure good! We ordered the cheesecake to go though!!!

We ended our night by stopping by Goose's Acre in The Woodlands to say hi to some of my friends who were there! We had a great night!!! Nothing is better than 7 Leguas, a movie, and The Cheesecake Factory!!! :) Have a great weekend!!!

Aggies VS. Bulldogs and more of Kimberly's Visit!!!

Tonight I went to Buffalo Wild Wings (again...I know). Ha! The Aggies played this afternoon against the Georgia Bulldogs! I can't believe we actually made it to a bowl game this year - we lost though! 44-20 :(

When we got back from Louisiana we went to the movies to see New Moon! It was so good! Kimberly is a Twilight Saga fanatic! She has read each book like twice - I haven't even finished the first book but I like the movies!

The Blind Side and Sweet 16

Friday night my mom, aunt, Caitlin, and I all went to go see The Blind Side. This movie was SO good! I love Sandra Bullock...I thought she was great! It is a true story about Michael Oher who plays for the Ravens. Have y'all seen it yet?

The Carrie Diaries and New Moon

How is everyone's week been so far? I have been just busy getting stuff done for the end of the semester. This week I have another research paper rough draft due and a presentation on Friday. I keep telling myself if that I can get through next week I am pretty much DONE!

The Carrie Diaries is Revealed!
Candice Bushnell is adding another book to her famous franchise next April. The Carrie Diaries is going to be about Carrie Bradshaw's high school years, her first love, and how she started her job as a writer. I may have to go buy it!
