Last Weekend of Summer!!!

SLast Friday I went up to the school I will be doing my student teaching at for a work day. My mentor had me write all the students names on their desks, cubbies, etc. You know I loved that! That night was also Meet the Teacher. All the students were so sweet!

Yesterday my aunt came into town to drop off my niece Sadie. Sadie's mom (my cousin Cait) went to float the river this weekend and will be back later today! I have been having fun keeping her!

My friend Kristan also came to visit yesterday! Kristan has been home all summer and will officially be moving back up to College Station soon. : ) We went shopping for most of the day. I found this cute necklace/earrings at Charming Charlies that will go with my outfit for tomorrow! It was only $8!

We also went to Hobby Lobby (one of our favorite stores). I cannot believe that they already have Thanksgiving/Christmas stuff out! There is this picture frame at Hobby Lobby that I have been eying for the last several months.Yesterday Kristan insisted on buying it for me....she is so sweet! Thank you so much Kristan....you really did not have to do that!

Instead of going out last night we figured we would have a wine and cheese night! Yum! We also baked cookies and rented The Last Song with Miley Cyrus! It was really sad but good! 

Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! Wish me luck!!! : ) I'm so excited about this semester. I will also be thinking of all you other teachers out there tomorrow!

Wal-Mart Shopper, Calander, and the Showdown!

Thank y'all for the comments about my dress that I wore on the 4th! All weekend I was trying to either find a red, white, or blue outfit to wear for the Fourth of July. Saturday I went shopping ALL over and couldn't find anything - Ross, TJ Maxx, Target, Kohls, the mall, etc. Don't ya hate when you are looking for something specific you have the hardest time but when you just go shopping for fun it seems so easy?!?! Finally, at like 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night I headed over to Wal-Mart and found something!!! : ) The dress had yellow and black in it but thought what the heck...at least there is red, white, and blue in it too! 

Guess how much it cost.... $16.00 and it's cute! I'm going to have to start shopping at Wal-Mart more often! It looks like it came from Forever 21 or something. 

Remember a few episodes back on The Bachelorette when Ali and the guys did that photoshoot? Well they made it into a calendar and my mom bought me one! You have to buy it through ABC.com and the money goes to some charity! I LOVE it! I'm such a dork!

SOOO....what did ya'll think about Jake and Vienna's showdown last night?! I used to hate Vienna but now I'm team Vienna! Jake is a complete JERK! I think he is very controlling and the only reason he picked Vienna was for publicity. I feel bad for her. You know the saying....bad publicity is good publicity in Hollywood. I bet Jillian is glad she didn't pick him! And I bet Ali is glad she left when she did. Some say that Jake reminds them of Tom Cruise and I totally agree! Smirky smile and all!

 I will be taking a blogging break for a few days because I'm going home this weekend for my best friend Kimberly's college graduation party at her dad's!

Style Watch and Being Adventurous!

Happy Wednesday!!! I used to hate Wednesday's but I'm actually starting to like them.

I just applied to be a caregiver for a couple's two children this summer...I hope I get the job! : ) I have been applying to restaurants ALL week and no one will hire me!

Have y'all heard of Romper's? My cousin tried on one the other day and I loved it on her! I think I'm going to buy one! I'm wondering if it would look good on me though since I'm so short? Did you know I'm only 4'11?!

What kinda shoes would you wear with it? Heels?

My dad bought our airline tickets last night for Colorado!!! We leave in about a month...I'm excited! This is going to be a different kind of vacation for us. We are usually the type of family that is used to just sitting on the beach soaking up the sun with a Pina Colada in our hand. However, this vacation is going to be way different...we are going to be adventurous! We are planning on going white water rafting and mountain climbing! How long do you think we will last?! My mom thinks it sounds like a grand idea now but wait until we get there! Ha!

Have y'all ever been white water rafting before? I'm thinking we are going to go on the slowest route and have a guide. Is it really that scary?

As I mentioned on my last post I'm officially on Summer Vacation....so I decided to come home this weekend! Today I went shopping and to lunch with my mom. We went to La Madeleine on Market Street....they have the best Chicken Salad Sandwich.

We shopped at TJ Maxx, Francesca's Collections, and The Woodlands Mall. This may be surprising....but I really don't like to shop. I know that sounds weird since most girls LOVE shopping but I usually just find it stressful! Well today was different...I had SO much luck! I bought 4 tops at Forever 21 and the cutest sandals at TJ Maxx.

My new favorite store is Francesca's! Today was my first time to go in there. They have the cutest things and it's really reasonable! Do y'all ever shop there?

Officially D.O.N.E, Birthdays, Coming Home, and Shopping!!!

I know last week I said that I was done with school but I still had a few online assignments and my e-folio to do. But as of today I can officially say that I'm D.O.N.E!!!! 

Today, I  presented my "e-folio"  to my professor and some classmates. It wasn't bad...it only took a little over an hour for all of us to present. Our professor even brought us Cookie Cake that said DONE AND DONE! Did any education majors who read my blog have to do an e-folio? I think it's kinda a wast of time. We have to create this portfolio online and put artifacts in it that we think will be beneficial for us in the future (lesson plans, papers, activities, etc.). They were also saying that for when we start going on interviews it would be great to have. However, I heard principles don't even look at it. Supposedly after we graduate we will not even be able to access it. Sooo....I think it is kinda pointless! Oh well....it's done with!

Yesterday was my cousin Demi's 22nd Birthday! Demi goes to A&M as well and is also an education major! She is a little ahead of me and graduates this coming May! Last night Caitlin and I went to the Olive Garden for her B-day Celebration! Here's a pic of all of us...it didn't turn out that good since I had to take it with my phone!

This afternoon I decided to come home for the weekend! Tonight my parents took me to Outback! I ♥ their Bloomin' Onion and Coconut Shrimp!!!

Tonight I also went shopping at Ross....Ross is SO cheap! I bought this cute dress for $18.00 and a pair of capri's for only $7.00!! You really can Dress For Less at Ross!

I'm going shopping again tomorrow!! I'm wanting new summer clothes so I won't be all sad this summer when I don't have a thing to wear! Ha!

Bi My weekend started off yesterday afternoon by going to Ozona's for Happy Hour! Since it was such a pretty afternoon we decided to sit on the patio. I love their patio....it's so fun and relaxing!

 Yesterday afternoon I felt like my blood sugar was really low for some reason. I was just really tired and kinda out of it.  All I had to eat all day was breakfast at like 10:00 and had a bag of chips. I figured once I got some food in me at Ozona's I would feel better!

Do y'all ever Google your symptoms?  I always do and I usually end up thinking I'm dying! Ha! I need to stop doing that!

This morning I went to the doc and she didn't seem to know anything. Next Monday she is going to test my blood sugar. So we will see! I kinda think I may have a sinus infection or the starting of the flu! I'm all stopped up, fatigued, my back aches, and I feel tons of pressure in my head!

My birthday is coming up later this month and I have decided on a theme! With the new SATC movie coming up I wanna do a SATC themed birthday! I thought it would be fun for me and all my  girlfriends to dress up in cute cocktail dresses for when we go out!

My Weekend: I've been a BAD blogger!

I have been such a bad blogger this week! I didn't have too much to blog about and I've been SO busy with school! Only three more weeks till Spring Break! This semester is going by fast! Before I know it summer will be here! :) Friday night I decided to go home for the weekend....it was kind of a spur of the moment idea! When I got home my parents took me to 7 Leguas for Mexican food! I was so impressed with them because they FINALLY got cable! Can you believe that? It's 2010 and we finally get cable!!! Ha!Saturday my mom and I went shopping for the whole entire day! I have been needing some clothes for my field placement....I only have one pair of black slacks to wear! How bad is that? All of the teachers have probably been thinking....that poor girl has no clothes! Ha! First we went to the Greenspoint Dillard's Clearance store. At this Dillard's everything in the entire store is always between 50-70% off! I bought this really cute dress that was originally $118.00 for $35.00!The Dillard's clearance store can get pretty overwhelming but you just have to look! After we left Dillard's we went to eat at Pappasito's! One of my fav places!

Next...we hit The Woodlands Mall! I found this adorable dress at Ann Taylor Loft and some denim slacks!
I LOVE this dress! What kinda shoes should I buy to wear with it? I also found some cute tops at Talbots and Coldwater Creek. I never usually shop at these stores but they actually have some cute clothes for teaching! I still need some more pants...maybe I will go to New York and Company later this week!

This morning I came back to CS...I have some lesson plans to write today! Ugh! Hope ya'll had a great weekend! I promise to be a better blogger this week! :)

Yesterday I finished most of my Christmas shopping! Yay! I also bought a couple things for me...a new scarf and the cutest dress from Target! I am so into scarfs this year...LOVE them! I can't believe that Christmas is a week away!!

Last night I went to Clucker's in Tomball and it was pretty much a high school reunion! It was also karaoke night!! As we were sitting there listening too the music....guess who walked in to eat?!?! SANTA! Only in Tomball, Texas! LOL. We had to get a picture taken with him! :) He was thrilled to take a picture with us! Ha! I wonder if he works at the mall?

Weekend Home

Friday I went home for the first time this semester to visit my parents. I loved the cooler weather this weekend! It actually felt like fall here in Texas instead of summer! My parents gave me these when I got home on Friday!!! :)

I was so excited because it had been two months since I had been home. Friday evening my parents took me to my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant - 7 Leguas. The chips and salsa there are delicious!!!!

My mom sent me the earrings I am wearing a few weeks back. There leopard...I am so into leopard this year!

Afterwards, my mom and I went to shopping at Kohls. I love Kohls...they always have cute cheap stuff! I bought another green sweater that matches the purple one above, a black sweater, and a cute top.

Saturday we got up and went to the Woodlands to eat at The Cheesecake Factory for lunch. I got the Firecracker Salmon Rolls...have ya'll ever had them before? There so good! And of course we got a cheesecake!


After lunch we went into the mall because my mom had to get some new make-up. My dad was THRILLED! Ha! He hates going to the mall....but we made him! :)


Later that afternoon my mom and I went to go get a pedicure/manicure. We were nice enough to drop my dad off before we went there! Ha! I got nails and toes painted a reddish color. It's called Vodka and Cavier...it's a really pretty color.


That evening I met up with some friends in Tomball at Cluckers (a wing restaurant). Then later that night my dad and I went to a new wine bar in The Woodlands. It was SO nice...I def want to go back with some of my friends! Sunday before I left I met up with my friend Kailee for lunch at Mels Diner....I haven't seen her since the summer either! I got back to College Station yesterday afternoon. It was nice to get away for the weekend....I was sure wined and dined. Maybe I should not come home for awhile more often! Ha! This week is so busy...I have two tests coming up! Ughh! Hope everyone had a great weekend and Monday!
