Birthday Celebration in College Station!

Last Friday, Kyle and I went to his parents house for the night because I had a job fair to go to in Katy early the next morning. Kyle's parents live pretty close to Katy so I thought it would be easier staying the night over there. The job fair was SOO crowded! I would say there were probably over 500 people there. Katy ISD has 35 elementary schools and I maybe got to talk to 6 of them. The lines were so long!!! I was happy I was able to get a few "mini interviews" with the new schools that are opening up this next school year. I'm crossing my fingers I hear something soon!

On Saturday, Kimberly and Caitlin came to College Station to celebrate my birthday with me! It seems like I have been celebrating my birthday for a month now! Haha! Caitlin's fiance, Matt also came so they could take their engagement pictures! They decided to take them in College Station since they both went to A&M. I can't wait to see their pictures!

We went to Los Cucos for dinner. Where else would we go? LOL. Then, we went back to Matt's house for cake! Kimberly had the cutest leopard birthday cake made for me! Afterwards, we went out to Northgate for some drinks.

Kimberly and I always used to read this book when we were younger - I'll have to put it in my classroom library! 

Kimberly gave me a beach bag full of things I can use for this summer - a beach towel, sun tan lotion, beach towel clips, a magazine, a cover-up, and Reese's Puffs (our favorite summer cereal!) I thought it was such a cute idea!

It's My 25th Birthday!!!

Today, I celebrated my 25th Birthday! I'm officially a member of the quarter of a century club! We took our kids to the park this morning since the older kids were taking the STARR test. We had a fun day! This afternoon, they had a little birthday celebration for me. I thought that was so sweet.

Kyle told me a couple days ago that he had dinner reservations for us at an Italian restaurant in Bryan for tonight. As we were driving to the restaurant, he pulled into the parking lot of The Republic Steakhouse, where I have been wanting to go forever! It was a nice surprise! : ) The steak we ordered was probably one of the best steaks I have ever had! It was so good!

I had such a great 25th birthday! I'm so excited to celebrate again this coming weekend with all my friends!!!

Early Birthday Celebration and Vegas!!!

I went home for the weekend to have an early birthday celebration with my parents! My actual birthday isn't till Tuesday. Kyle and my dad went fishing on Friday so he also stayed the weekend. After they got back from their fishing trip, we went to eat at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! I have sure been craving some 7 Leguas chips and salsa!

Yesterday, my mom took me to get a manicure/pedicure and then last night we went to eat dinner on the river walk. It was also my parents 33rd wedding anniversary! : ) I had a fun weekend celebrating my birthday with my family! 

33 years of Wedded Bliss! Haha! 

Kyle's family is going to Vegas in July for vacation and they asked me to go with them. I didn't think I would be able to go because I really can't afford the airline tickets right now. My parents surprised me with the airline tickets for my birthday! It's been awhile since I have been to Vegas! I went for my 21st birthday about four years ago...I'm SOO excited to go again! : )

Summer Is Almost Here!

I miss the beach! I took this picture while we were in Florida. I'm already countin' down till summer break! About 6 more weeks left to go! :) This week we started kindergarten transition. This is when our kids go and visit a kindergarten classroom twice a week for about 30 min. They are loving it! It already feels like summer here in Texas. It has been so warm! I hope y'all are doing good! I promise to be a better blogger this next week! ♥

Lake Charles, LA Casino Trip!

Last Thursday, my parents decided to take a trip to Lake Charles and I decided to tag along! We left after my mom and I got off work. There is something about going to the casino that I just love! It was packed at the place we were staying at because it was Spring Break week. I was proud of my winnings on the craps table! : ) My mom also won again playing poker. She is becoming a pro!

Friday morning, Kyle drove in after he got off work! We mostly just hung out by the pool. That night there was a band playing out by the pool that we listened to. They played mostly 80's music. The band was actually pretty good!  I ended up losing some of the money I won the night before. :/ Oh well, at least we had a good time!

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! It has been a nice weekend! Today, we went over to my grandparents house for Easter. We had chicken and dumplings for lunch. It was good seeing everyone and catching up! : )

Birthday Month and Easter!

• April is one of my favorite months because it's my birthday month and Easter! Last year I celebrated my Golden Birthday actually on Easter! I turned 24 on April 24th. I thought that was kinda cool! It's crazy that I will be turning 25 in a few weeks!

• I cannot believe that we only have 8 more weeks of school left. This year has gone by so fast!

• Today, we went to the high school for a field trip. We started "Tiger Buddies" a couple of weeks ago. Each one of our kids have been paired up with a high school student from the Child Development class. Today, the high school kids had an Easter Egg Hunt for us! Our kids loved it!

• Did y'all watch the Country Music Awards the other night? I was so excited that the Eli Young Band won song of the year - Crazy Girl. The lead singer from the band is actually from Tomball, TX! 

• I have been busy filling out teaching applications! I have applied to probably almost ten districts so far. I really want my own classroom next school year. Keep your fingers crossed for me! 

• 2 more work days left! : )

Wedding Weekend

Happy April Fools Day! Y'all play any good jokes on anyone today? The weekends never seem to last long enough to me. I'm glad this next week is only a four day work week! Friday night, I took my friend Michal out to dinner for her birthday. She turned the big 25 while I was in FL so I'm glad we were finally able to celebrate this weekend!

Yesterday morning, Kyle and I left for the San Antonio area for Kimberly's mom's wedding. Her wedding was at a venue last night in New Braunfels and was peacock themed. Sandy asked Kimberly and I to be her bridesmaids. Here are some pictures of last night!

After the wedding, we went back to Kimberly's brother and sister in law's house. We had a fun time hanging out and talking!
