Zebra Lamp, Italian Love, and a Birthday!

Today was 100th Day at school! I subbed in the first grade today at the same school I did my student teaching at. I always love subbing in the first grade since I know the team really well.  The first grade teachers had a lot of fun activities and centers planned for the day! For one of the activities the students colored a picture of themselves of how they think they will look like when they are 100 years old....isn't that such a fun idea?! Some pictures were really creative!

I found the cutest little lamp the other day at Hobby Lobby that matches my living perfectly! My living room is done in animal print so I thought this little zebra lamp would be perfect!

Yesterday I got my nails done and I LOVE the fingernail polish I picked out! It is called Italian Love Affair by OPI. Perfect for VaLeNtInEs DaY!!!

Today is my Grandma's 80th Birthday!! Happy Birthday Grand-maw! We are celebrating with her on Friday!

Weekend Wrap Up and 100 Days!

Thank y'all so much for all the comments about me passing my test! I'm so relieved that I finally passed it and that I can start applying for jobs!

I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend. My cousin Caitlin came into town this weekend to visit her boyfriend so I was so glad that I was able to see her! Friday night we all went out to eat Mexican food and to Northgate. After dinner, we tried to take some group pictures but as you can see none of them turned out the great, ha!

It was fun to be all back together again! ; )

Saturday I slept in till like eleven because I didn't sleep well at all Friday night. I spent most of the day cleaning and then I went over to Matt's (Cait's boyfriend) house for dinner. He cooked up a pretty good meal!

I'm subbing all this next week. Tomorrow is the 100th Day of school.....I will be subbing in a 1st grade classroom. The 100th Day of school is a big deal in elementary. There will be all sorts of activities planned for the kids to do throughout the day. I'm a little nervous! I will let y'all now how it goes! : )

I Have Some EXCITING News!!!

I finally passed my EC-6th Grade Content Test!! I'm officially a certified teacher in Texas! YAY!!!!

I took the test yesterday morning and I was soo nervous this afternoon when I found out that my score had been posted. It took me about a minute to actually open the document to see if I passed. I thought for sure it would say "not passed". However, it said "passed"! Thank the lord!!!

Hope y'all have been having a good week....I have been subbing all this week!  I have also been studying for my content test I have to take tomorrow morning. I will let y'all know how I do. Please pray that I pass! I'm SO proud of myself....I have worked out THREE DAYS IN A ROW!!!! I had to buy a membership at the Texas A&M REC since I'm no longer a student. It only cost $100 and will last until May....I thought that was a pretty good deal!

SO....what did y'all think of The Bachelor this week? I wish Michelle would show Brad her true self! Hopefully, he will kick her off soon! I used to kinda like Ashley H. but she got on my nerves this week! She just needs to chill out. I still really like Emily - I loved the little "picnic date" Brad created for her during the cocktail party! So sweet!

Speaking of reality TV - did y'all watch the premiere of Kim and Kourtney Take New York? I loved when they showed DASH since I have been there before! Brought back memories!

I have been meaning to share this with y'all.....for my graduation my best friend Kimberly created a photo book for me using Shutterfly. She titled the book "Aggie Days" and put pictures in it from my time here at A&M! I thought it was such a special gift. Now I will always remember my college days! : )

New Blog Design and Grab My Blog Button!!!

As you can see.....my blog has a new look! I was kinda getting tired of all the pink, green, and black! My past two layouts have consisted of those colors so I wanted something a little different this time!!! I think it is sooo cute and funky! Game Night, Valentine's Day Decor, and Little Fockers!

Here is a little recap of my weekend....

Friday afternoon my friend Kristan treated me to a relaxing deluxe pedicure. The deluxe pedicure included a stone massage, exfoliating massage, cooling gel, and hot wax. I was in heaven....I love getting pedicures! Thank you so much Kristan! :  )

Later that night we went over to one of her friends house for Game Night! We played Boxers or Briefs. Have y'all heard of that game before? I think it's similar to Apples to Apples. 

Yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby to buy some Valentine's Day decor for my apartment! I LOVE decorating for any holiday!: ) Hobby Lobby had some of the cutest stuff....I love that store!

After going to Hobby Lobby, Kristan met me at  CiCi's Pizza and then went to see Little Fockers. I was so excited to see it because I loved Meet the Parents. Robert DeNiro cracks me up!

Hope y'all had a great weekend! Today I'm going to be studying for my Generalist EC-6th grade content test I have coming up this Thursday! Any tips on how to pass that test???

Bachelor Talk and A Few Of My FAVORITE Things!

Hope y'all all had a relaxing  3 day weekend! Last night I went over to my friend Kristan's apartment to watch The Bachelor and eat dinner! She cooked a yummy pasta dinner and made lemon bars for dessert! We always have so much fun watching The Bachelor together! SOO what did y'all think?! Here are some of my favorites this season so far....

Ashley S. and Emily! Ashley S. seems so sweet and down to earth. And Emily seems really nice and she has such a touching story.

I wanted to share with y'all a few things that I got for Christmas that I just LOVE! My mom's friend's daughter makes these cute little brick decorations. I love the little picture clip!

Have y'all ever heard of Scentsy Candles? My mom bought me one for Christmas and I love it! Scentsy warmers come with a low watt bulb that melts wax (a Scentsy Bar). Love the zebra!

My other favorite thing right now is my new monogrammed  acrylic cup! It matches my blog perfectly. LOL.

The BEST Marriage Proposal EVER!!!!

In New York we witnessed the sweetest proposal EVER! How amazing would it be if your boyfriend asked to marry you in the middle of the ice rink at Rockefeller Center in New York City?! After the guy proposed to his girlfriend everyone started cheering and clapping!  I know I'm a little weird for taking pictures of people I don't even know but I thought it was so sweet! : )

Bridal Shower!

This weekend I went home because yesterday was my cousin Dalena's bridal shower! The theme was wine and cheese! My mom and her sisters hosted the shower for her at my Aunt Michelle's house. Dalena is the first grandchild to get married! After the shower, we all stayed the night for a fun girls night....it was a lot of fun!

Last Day in NYC - DASH, Magnolia Bakery, and SATC!!!

Yesterday I posted my 400th post! : )

Our last day in the city we took a bus tour around New York. We decided to sit on top of the bus so we could get a better view....OMG it was FREEZING! Our tour guide was an old lady probably in her 70's who was just awful! She constantly got onto people the entire time by yelling at them into her microphone. I have no idea how she got hired!

My favorite part of the whole bus tour was getting off in the SOHO district and going to the Kardashian's new DASH store that just opened in New York! I was disappointed the Kardashian girls were not there!

Do you remember the little bakery from Sex and the City called Magnolia Bakery? After leaving DASH we headed over there to enjoy a cupcake! It was the cutest little bakery I have ever seen!

Magnolia Bakery is located just around the corner from Carrie Bradshaw's apartment on Sex and the City.  Here is us taking a picture on Carrie's famous steps that lead into her apartment! I'm a HUGE SATC fan so I LOVED getting to do this!

Okay....so where did I leave off? Oh yeah.... taking a carriage ride around Central Park and then going to the worst restaurant ever in N.Y.C!!!! 

After our little restaurant experience we decided to go take some pictures in front of the huge Christmas tree that is located at Rockefeller Center. It was beautiful!!!

When we were in New York I must have heard Empire State of Mind by Alica Keys about five times! I LOVE that song! My mom bought me the CD for Christmas!

Later that night we went to a little Irish pub called Pig and Whistle.....isn't that a fun name? Well...it ended up being karaoke night. I'm usually pretty shy when it comes to karaoke....I'm a horrible singer! But...I thought what the heck we are in the middle of N.Y.C and we will probably never see these people again! So....me and Cait decided to sing All My Ex's Live in Texas by George Strait!!! It was SO much fun...I'm sure people thought we were a hoot! : )
