Officially D.O.N.E, Birthdays, Coming Home, and Shopping!!!

I know last week I said that I was done with school but I still had a few online assignments and my e-folio to do. But as of today I can officially say that I'm D.O.N.E!!!! 

Today, I  presented my "e-folio"  to my professor and some classmates. It wasn't bad...it only took a little over an hour for all of us to present. Our professor even brought us Cookie Cake that said DONE AND DONE! Did any education majors who read my blog have to do an e-folio? I think it's kinda a wast of time. We have to create this portfolio online and put artifacts in it that we think will be beneficial for us in the future (lesson plans, papers, activities, etc.). They were also saying that for when we start going on interviews it would be great to have. However, I heard principles don't even look at it. Supposedly after we graduate we will not even be able to access it. Sooo....I think it is kinda pointless! Oh well....it's done with!

Yesterday was my cousin Demi's 22nd Birthday! Demi goes to A&M as well and is also an education major! She is a little ahead of me and graduates this coming May! Last night Caitlin and I went to the Olive Garden for her B-day Celebration! Here's a pic of all of us...it didn't turn out that good since I had to take it with my phone!

This afternoon I decided to come home for the weekend! Tonight my parents took me to Outback! I ♥ their Bloomin' Onion and Coconut Shrimp!!!

Tonight I also went shopping at Ross....Ross is SO cheap! I bought this cute dress for $18.00 and a pair of capri's for only $7.00!! You really can Dress For Less at Ross!

I'm going shopping again tomorrow!! I'm wanting new summer clothes so I won't be all sad this summer when I don't have a thing to wear! Ha!

I'm DONE!

Today was my last day EVER to go to college classes at A&M! I have a few more homework assignments to turn in online and then I'm done for good!!!  I did it.... I can't believe that this semester is over and I made it through Senior Methods! What a relief...next is Student Teaching!!!

WOO HOO for Summer Vacation!!!

My 23rd birthday is on Saturday...I'm so excited because my best friend Kimberly and friend Kailee are coming in this weekend! We are all celebrating Saturday by going out to dinner and Northgate! We're going to dress up in cute cocktail dresses....so it should be fun!!! ;) I will post pictures later this weekend!

P.S. My friend Kristan teaches in Navasota and after school today she went to one of her students baseball games and guess who she got to meet?!?! Chuck Norris! He lives in Navasota and was there watching his kids game! How cool is that?!

Teachers Check This Out!

I know there are a lot of teachers who read my blog so I thought I would share this! Remember last week when I mentioned that this semester I'm having to do tons of technology related projects? Well...last Thursday I turned in my Web 2.0 projects - my teacher had us create five different activities from the five sites listed below!

1. The first site is Wordle.net. I created this Weather Wordle....you could create a fun wordle for one of your lessons or have your students create their own!
2. On this website you can turn your pictures into trading cards. I made 5 trading cards for The Water Cycle...here is one for an example! These would be great to help students review different things!

3. I loved Scrapblog! At this site you can create your own little book! I did my scrapblog on the life cycle of a frog. Here is the last page of my book....How cute is that? You could even have your students create their own book!

4. Another site where you can create your own book is Mixbook.com. I created a book on the four seasons! Here is one page I made of one of my favorite seasons!5. Click here for the last website! I couldn't post a picture because you can create picture videos on this site!

Valentines Day, Bruce Jenner, and Technology!

How was everyone's Valentines weekend? I went out to Los Cucos with Kristan and her roommate. We were joking that they were putting all of the single people out on the patio! Ha! Nothing is better than Mexican food and rita's for Valentine's Day! I'm SO proud of myself because this is only my second time I have been to Los Cucos since Christmas break. Big improvement! Ha!

My friend Kimberly works for a radio station in the Dallas area and yesterday she got to hang out with Bruce Jenner for the day! He is the step dad on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. When he met Kimberly he told her that she had a pretty awesome name! Ha! Here's a pic...For all of my education classes this semester I am having to do all these technology projects like....creating a podcast, creating a virtual field trip using Windows Movie Maker, creating a digital storytelling project, etc. Are any other education majors who read my blog having to do stuff like this?! All this technology stuff is kinda freakin' me out! Right now I'm working on my virtual field trip to Washington D.C.....I'm almost done! Can't believe I actually figured it out all on my own! :)Hope ya'll have a great week!

First Week Back!

Sorry I have been MIA this week....school started back up for me! OMG this going to be a crazy semester!!! On Thursdays I go ALL day long with no break! I am already exhausted and it's only the first week! One thing good about this semester is that I only have to be on campus once a week. However, I am out in the field two days a week. I'm so happy I will get Monday and Fridays off...I will need it!

When I got back to CS last Sunday my cousin Cait and I went out to dinner to TGI Fridays and then Northgate. I have missed her! At Fridays we had quite the experience. First, we had to wait like 15 minutes for a table when there was no one in the restaurant. Then, we waited another 15 minutes to get our drinks. And then....when the manager brought out our food he spilt my water ALL over me! I think he was kinda embarrassed...especially since he was the manager! Ha! At least he gave us coupons to get a free appetizer and dessert for next time! I did feel kinda bad for him though since I waited tables before. One time the exact same thing happened to me except I spilt water all over a 2 year old little boy! I could have DIED!

Monday I met my friend Kristan to get a mani and pedi! Kristan has started doing a new workout video called Insanity and it is INSANE! I have done it with her a couple times this week and oh my am I sore! I may have to stick to doing Bob's Boot Camp video from the Biggest Loser and Jillian's 30 Day Shred! Kristan is looking great though!

So this week I didn't do "Bachelor Tuesdays" since I have been so busy! But I am SO happy he kicked off Elizabeth and Michelle. They were crazy! I am starting to like Ella...I thought the date with her little boy was so sweet! Next week looks like there is gong to be A LOT of drama! I'm excited because this coming Monday is our first "Bachelor Night" where we are going to cook a healthy dinner and watch it all together! Every week we are going to alternate whose place we go to! :) Hope everyone is doing great....I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow! ♥
