Fall Festival, Caffe Capri, and Northgate Fun!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Yesterday was the Fall Festival at the school I'm doing my student teaching at. Another student teacher and I went together for a couple of hours. Oh my goodness....it was crazy! They had everything from a pumpkin patch,  a cake walk, games, a moon walk, food, silent and live auctions, face painting, and a lot more! Supposedly, the school raises around $60,000 each year.....isn't that is insane?! The silent auction was pretty cool....each class makes a basket. Some baskets are valued over $400. Our class made a A&M baseball basket. It had tons of stuff in it! All the baseball players from A&M signed an A&M baseball bat...you know a little boy would LOVE opening that up Christmas morning!

Last night my friend Kristan and I went into downtown Bryan to go eat at a little Italian restaurant called Caffe Capri. It was so funny....my cousin Caitlin and her boyfriend wanted to have a nice date night and they ended up at the same place we where at! They were probably wishing they went somewhere else, ha! There was a wait and since they got there a little before us so they got seated first. Kristan and I were still waiting for our table about ten minutes after they sat down so I decided to go up to their table to aggravate them a little bit....I asked Cait if we could just sit with them because it was taking too long for us to get a table. She just laughed! LOL. I don't know why they wouldn't want us to sit with them?! : )

Afterwards, we went to Spoons to get some yogurt! There is always a line out the door each time I go there. I told Kristan we should think about opening up a yogurt place...it seems like the popular thing to do now. I'm sure they're making the bucks!

Later, we all went to Northgate for a birthday. We only stayed for a little bit since we all had stuff to do today. Here are a few pictures...

It was a great weekend! Now I need to get prepared for next week! I have a list of things to do today...ughh!

Caitlin's Birthday Celebration and Weekend Recap!

I have blogged three days in a row....can you believe it?! Friday night we all went out to Northgate to celebrate Caitlin's 22nd Birthday! We went to this new place called Cedar Lane. They serve their drinks in mason jars....I thought it was a neat little place! I hope Caitlin had a great Birthday! : ) Here are a few pictures!

The girls before going out...

Yesterday I ended up not going to the game so I could get some stuff done. The magic eight ball was wrong because the Aggies won! My friend Kristan is babysitting her friend's two little boys this weekend. She set up a tent in her living room for them to sleep in...isn't she such a fun babysitter? I went with them to McDonald's last night! Aren't they cute?!

Today I'm doing lesson plans and then going shopping with Kristan and Cait for our big party next Friday! We are dunking our AGGIE RINGS! : ) I'm excited!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Fun With Friends and Game Day!!!!

I am the worst blogger ever!

My life is pretty boring right now so there is not too much too blog about. I get up, take a shower, go to work, come home, eat dinner, do lesson plans, and then go to bed. Sounds fun, huh?!

Student Teaching is going great! This past week I taught five lessons on shared reading. I thought they went pretty good. This coming week I'm teaching two subjects so that means I have ten lesson plans to write...fun stuff! I didn't realize how exhausting teaching can be. I'm SO tired by the time I get home everyday I do not want to do anything (hence the lack of blogging and commenting).

I had a fun filled weekend....my friend Stephen and his girlfriend came to visit me. Friday night we all to Los Cucos for Mexican food. When we were walking into the restaurant I heard someone yell, "Hi, Miss. C"!!!! I looked and it was a little girl from my class. I loved it. My mom said I'm like a celebrity now, ha! Afterwards, we all went out to The Tap....here are some pictures.

Me and Stevo (we graduated from high school together)

The next morning we woke up to flowers, fresh fruit, orange juice, and Stephen making a yummy Mexican breakfast for us. He cooked chorizo and egg burritos. Wasn't that sweet of him?! Stephen didn't know I blogged and he was mad that I have never blogged about him. I told him that this post was going to be dedicated to him, ha!

 Maroon/White Flowers for Game Day!

Stephen cooking!

Saturday was Game Day! A&M played SFA. Before the game we all went over to a friend's apartment for burgers! We left a little bit early so we could go tailgate some...it was so HOT! I cannot wait till we get some cooler weather!

GIG EM AGGIES!

The Aggies beat SFA! : ) The game was fun but really hot. My feet were killing me by the time I got home. I was supposed to be doing lesson plans all weekend but as you can see that did not happen. So....I guess that's what I'm doing today. I have at least five to write by tomorrow....ugghh! I'm getting observed this week by my supervisor so wish me luck! : )

Hope y'all have a great Labor Day Weekend. We do not get Labor Day off...what kind of crap is that?!

Weekend Fun!

Teacher Bloggers - Thank you SO much for all the encouraging words and tips on student teaching! : )

So what did y'all do this weekend? Friday night I went over to my cousin Cait's boyfriend's house for pizza and then we all went to Northgate to have some fun!

Saturday Caitlin's mom came into town and took us to Ninfa's for lunch! Afterwards, we went to Target to look around. Caitlin had to buy a cardboard box to mail something in and the guy checking us out didn't realize that they sold boxes at Target. He put the box to the side and was like "do y'all just want this box"? I'm guessing he thought it was just one of the boxes the stock people had left behind. He wasn't even going to scan it....we thought he was hilarious! We had to explain to him that YES they do sell boxes at Target, ha!

Anyways, as we were walking back to the car my aunt was saying how funny and cute she thought he was....so she went back in and gave him my number, ha! I will let you know if he calls! I'm sure I will not get a phone call since I hadn't showered, had a hole in the armpit of my shirt, and had no make-up on! : )

I bought these really cute Dr. Seuss bags at Target for when I start teaching! I figured the kids could use them to take books home in or I could use them to put Dr. Seuss books in. Aren't they cute?! They just cost a $1 each...I found them in the dollar spot!

Yesterday afternoon we went swimming to cool off and last night I just chilled at home. I watched Lifetime movies and ordered Chili's To Go - I ♥ their chips and salsa! Do y'all watch Lifetime? I love all the suspenseful movies! : )

Hope y'all had a great weekend!

Northgate Fun and Childhood Friends

I couldn't blog about the rest of my weekend until now because my camera has not been wanting to transfer pictures!

As I mentioned a few posts back last Friday night my friends Kristan and Kailee came into College Station so we could have a girls night! We all went to Olive Garden for Italian food and cocktails. Afterwards, we went to go see SATC 2!

Saturday Kailee and I laid out by my pool for a couple hours....we got burnt! Before she left to go back home we grabbed lunch at Raising Cane's...they have the best Chicken Fingers! Have y'all ever been there? I'm glad Kailee got to come for the night!

That night we went to dinner at Ozona's and to Northgate. Northgate is the local entertainment district here in College Station. Here are some pictures! As you can see...I am burnt!

Piano Bar, MR. BIG, Idol, and Kate Plus 8!

Last night we went to The Tap in College Station for Piano Bar night! The guy on the piano was hilarious. My fav songs he played were Baby Got Back and Fresh Prince of Bel Air!

When we walked into the place last night they stamped my hand with this...

At first I thought the stamp was is in honor of the new SATC movie coming out however, I think it was just the stamp they were using to stamp people's hands that were over 21. The under 21 stamp said, "NOT YET"! It was perfect timing for the movie though! Ha! I love Mr. Big and was happy to have his name stamped on my hand!

Baby Cait and me

I was SOO happy Lee won last night on American Idol! I liked Crystal too but I really wanted Lee to win. I'm sure going to miss Simon!!! :( It wont be the same without him! Will you tune in next season without him?

Supposedly, Kate is coming back to TLC with her kids in June. I thought the kids were no longer to be filmed? Guess not!

Happy Thursday!
