Trip to Waco and The Final Rose!

Hope everyone is having a great week! Yesterday I took a little trip to Waco, Texas to go have lunch with my best friend Kimberly! Kimberly went to a wedding this past weekend in Dallas so we met up in Waco on her way back home. We ate Mexican food at On The Boarder. Yum! I brought my camera but I left my memory card at home! : (  So here is an old picture of us...

Oh, BTW Kimberly caught the bouquet at the wedding! : )

SOO...what did y'all think of The Bachelorette last night?! My cousin came over to watch the finale with me! We had a fun time drinking some wine and watching who Ali picked!

Who did you want to win? I really liked both of them so I didn't care too much who she picked. I loved Chris but I felt like Ali had more chemistry with Roberto.

So the Final Rose went too...

 ROBERTO!

I'm happy Ali let Chris go when she did. I felt so bad for him. He seems like a great guy! Maybe they will make him the next Bachelor?! So now the People magazine finally makes sense!

Roberto is soo CUTE! They both seem like they really love each other so hopefully it will last!

Final Thoughts:

Was that really Ali's brother and sister last night? They look nothing alike!

If I hear Ali complain one more time about how she gave up everything to be on the show I'm going to go crazy! Come on....she traveled the world with 25 guys....she did not give up everything! Ha!

Congrats to the happy couple!

Happy Tuesday!

300th Post, It's Getting HOT in Here, and Comedy Time!

Hey everyone! This is my 300th post! Thank y'all so much for continuing to read my blog!

Yesterday we went out to the pool for a bit before heading to Houston. It is sure getting HOT in Texas! I miss the cool Colorado weather! At the pool I studied for my EC-6th grade content exam I have to take in a couple weeks. Hope I pass it! This will be my second time to take it.....I passed the ESL exam with no problem however, the content exam seemed a little more difficult (obviously since I did not pass). Do any of you teachers out there have any good studying techniques I could use for studying for this test? I bought the study guide so I hope that helps!

Last night my friend Kristan invited us to the Improv Comedy Club in the Marquee Center in Houston!  Have ya'll ever been to a comedy club before?

Christopher Titus performed..supposedly he has been on Comedy Central!

We had a great time but we had HORRIBLE service! Our waitress only took our drink orders once....we had to hunt down the manager to order a second round.

I'm going to the eye doctor Monday....so I tried on Kristan's glasses to see how I would look in them, ha! What do you think?!

I think I look just like a teacher!

Us Girls!

4th of July, 3 Birthdays, and an Anniversary!

Hope everyone how a wonderful 4th of July! Yesterday we celebrated the 4th of July, my paw paw's 80th birthday, my dad and uncles birthday, and my grandparents 60th anniversary all at ONE party! All of their birthdays and my grandparents anniversary lands in the month of July. Talk about a busy month!

My grandparents had the party at their house....I made the invitations for the party! They had around 50 guests show up....all of my dad's side of the family came and a lot of their church friends. We had brisket, chicken, beans, potato salad, chips, and dips for lunch. It was good!

Here is my grandparent's anniversary cake that my mom bought! She was SO proud of herself that she arranged this table ALL by herself too! She framed old pictures to put on the table!

My grandparents in their younger days!

About to cut their cake! We even made them kiss! Ha!

Practicing my photography skills again, ha!

My Paw Paw's cake....my aunt found him a hat that said the same thing! We had A LOT of cake to eat!

Yep...that's right....we put 80 candles on the cake! Talk about a fire hazard!

My cousins helped him blow out his candles!

Me and the other birthday BOY - my dad

My dad and his brother's cake!

My aunt gave my dad this shirt for his birthday....it's perfect! His name is not Bob but we call him Bob because he is just like his father, ha! We waited till we got home for him to open it because I don't think his parents know we call him that! He loved it Michelle!

BOB being BOB

After the party I met up with my friend Kristan for dinner! Kristan is home for the summer for work. We went to Johnny Carinos for dinner! It was SOO good seeing her! I have missed her! : )

Miss Kristan

Afterwards, we went to Sam Houston Race Park to bet on horses and watch a firework show!  What a great way to spend the 4th! We didn't know we had to pay to park and we didn't have any cash on us (just debit cards) so they let us in FREE! How nice! We had a lot of fun!

I won 3 dollars!!! BIG MONEY!

FIREWORKS!!!!

I love this picture!

It took us FOREVER to leave the race track. We sat in the parking lot for about 50 minutes in traffic. We had fun though jamming out to music! It was great seeing you Kristan! Can't wait till you move back!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July Weekend!!!! Sorry this post was SOO long!

7 Leguas, The Woodlands, Movies, Cheesecake Factory = Perfect Night!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful New Years! Wednesday evening my friend Kristan came down to visit me! We started off our night by going to 7 Leguas for margaritas, chips, and salsa!Afterward, we went back to my house to meet up with my aunt and cousin! I haven't seen Caitlin since break so it was good to see her! My mom, aunt, Cait, Kristan, and I all went to the movies to see It's Complicated with Meryl Streep. It was pretty good...but seeing Alec Baldwin on the big screen with his shirt off kinda grossed me out. We were also sitting on the third row which probably made it worse. Ha!We went to the theatre at Market Street in The Woodlands....which has tons of little restaurants and shops. A new boutique hotel also just opened up right on Market Street called Avia.
Before the movie Caitlin, Kristan, and I went to go check it out! It seems like a fun place to go at night - they have a neat lounge inside. It's so cute and swanky!
After the movie Caitlin and Tina had to head back to College Station since it was getting so late. Kristan and I went to The Cheesecake Factory for our annual Christmas/New Years dinner celebration! It was sure good! We ordered the cheesecake to go though!!!

After Dinner
We ended our night by stopping by Goose's Acre in The Woodlands to say hi to some of my friends who were there! We had a great night!!! Nothing is better than 7 Leguas, a movie, and The Cheesecake Factory!!! :) Have a great weekend!!!

A Whole Bunch of Stuff!!!

Today I went to Visible Changes to get my hair cut and highlighted! I decided to get a bob and I love it! It's pretty short though! I think I look older....my mom thinks I look more like a teacher now. Ha!

What do ya think?!

I LOVE Charming Charlies and Sam Moon...I found some pretty cute accessories yesterday!

My friends always make fun of me when I carry my HUGE laptop briefcase. Ha! Yesterday I bought this cute laptop carrier at Charming Charlies!

I love anything right now in leopard or zebra print...I found this cute book bag at Sam Moon for $9! It would be a great gift to get monogrammed!
My new purse that I also found at Sam Moon!My apartment is done in leopard... so my mom had these adorable pillows made for me for Christmas! (Don't worry this is not the couch they are going on)!Tonight I met a couple of my friends at Buffalo Wild Wings...we had a good time! I ordered the "hot" wings and OMG they were too hot to eat! Next time I know to get the medium flavored wings!!!!

Have a great week!!!

Random Busy Weekend Post!

I have had a busy but fun weekend! Thursday night my parents took my friend Kristan and I out to dinner to my favorite Mexican restaurant! It was kind of a spur of the moment thing. I wanted to celebrate because Thursday I finished my summer calculus class! My teacher has yet to post my grade but I think I passed. We were joking that 7 Leguas is turning a little wild because people were actually getting up from there tables to dance. This one old guy even came to ask Kristan and I if we wanted to dance. Ha!

Us dancing-one of the waiters even had to join in on the fun! Ha!

Afterwards, Kristan and I went to go see Julie and Julia. I really have been wanting to see this movie! I love Meryl Streep. It was all about blogging and cooking. We were joking that this movie fit us perfectly... I love to blog, Kristan loves to cook, and our names are Christa/Kristan. Ha! I thought it was pretty good...could of been a little shorter though.

Friday morning we went to eat breakfast at one of my favorite places, Eden's Cafe. It was yummy. Then Kristan and I went shopping for the day. I took her to Sam Moon since she has never been before. She LOVED it! The Sam Moon by me has three different parts. The decoration store, the jewelry/accessories store, and then a gift shop. Later that evening Kristan, her friend Stephanie, and I all went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory in The Woodlands. Dont ya'll just love that place? We had a good time!

Me, Stephanie, and Kristan

Yesterday I had a 11:00 am hair appointment at Visible Changes in The Woodlands. I put more highlights/low lights in my hair and cut it! I was just going to trim it but ended up cutting A LOT off!! I really liked Stephanie's hair (see picture above) so I did something like that. It's longer in the front and shorter in the back.

Afterwards, I went to go get my cousins Kyle and Abby to keep them for the night! Abby is six and Kyle is ten. First we went to the Outlet Mall off of 290 to meet some of our Aunts, our Grandma, and cousins. It was way too hot to be shopping outside so we just stayed for a bit. When we got home I let them feed the deer. We always have TONS of deer in our yard. Then we went and ate at 7 Leguas that night ( I would probably eat there everyday if I could). Ha!

Miss Abigail rockin out her Hannah Montana shirt!
Later last night I took them to this cool water thing at Market Street in The Woodlands. I think they had fun playing in it!

Kyle and Abby at Market Street

I thought this picture was too cute!
When we got home we played hiding go seek and watched a movie. Kyle and Abby were both passed out by 10:00...they were worn out!! They slept till 9:30 this morning...I couldn't believe it! This afternoon we went to the YMCA pool to swim before I took them back home. They had fun! The YMCA has a cool play ground in the pool for kids. I hope they had a good time visiting me!!

I am moving back to College Station either tomorrow or Tuesday! I am pretty excited! I hope ya'll had a great weekend!!
