Holiday Countdown

Wednesday's and Thursday's are always SO busy for me! My mom had everyone text me yesterday saying "Happy Wednesday" because she knows just how much I LOVE Wednesday's! Not! Yesterday I worked on statistics with my friend from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am. Ughh! I had my second stats test on Tuesday night and I found out today that I passed! THANK GOD! I failed my first test so I was really worried about passing the class. Today I had to get up before the crack of dawn to go observe at a elementary school. Afterwards, I came home for lunch and then went to my two afternoon classes. My class does not end till 5:10 so I had to rush to meet my Conversation Partner at Starbucks at 6:00. (I mentioned in a previous post that I am meeting with an English Language Learner once a week this semester who is from South Korea). Today I brought some pictures to share with her of my family. My ELL partner's husband said that my mom was just beautiful! Mom - I knew you would LOVE that!

Today at Starbucks I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte...it was good!

I am SOOO excited because tomorrow I am going home for the weekend! I have not been home since August so I am def. going to have to go to my favorite Mexican restaurant tomorrow night!!! :) My mom texted me earlier and was like, "I asked your father earlier if he thought you were wanting to be wined and dined this weekend"? Of course! Ha!

Well I am going to go get busy on homework! I have to finish a paper, write a reflection, and take a quiz before tomorrow!! I'm tired!!! Who else is counting down the days till Christmas?
Have a great Friday!!!!

Exausted!!!

The past few days I have been feeling a little like this lady...
EXTREMELY TIRED!!!

Probably because summer is over and I am back to the books!!

Can you believe that these books cost over $400...crazy!!

I just started school yesterday and I am already exhausted! I am not sure if it's because I hardly got any rest this weekend or what? I hope I start feeling better soon! Yesterday I had three classes...Junior Methods (which is an education curriculum class), an ESL class, and an educational statistics class. I hope that statistics class does not kick my butt! Then today I had two more classes....another ESL class and a reading class called Reading and Writing Across the Middle Grades Curriculum. All of my teachers seemed pretty nice. The first week is always so overwhelming since I am still trying to figure everything out. I called my friend Natalia earlier and I was like I will see you tomorrow in Dr. Self's class....she was like we don't have that class again till Friday. See what I mean...ha! Tonight I went to Wal-Mart/Target to buy school supplies. This evening I am going to try to get organized!!!

Do ya'll ever watch the TLC show 18 Kids and Counting? Today Michelle Duggar announced that she is pregnant again. I cannot believe that they are expecting their 19th child!!

AND...I read on People today that they are already starting film the second Sex and the City movie! I'm excited! Here is a picture of Carrie on set...

ARE YA'LL AS READY FOR THE WEEKEND AS I AM????

Last Night of Freedom!

School starts tomorrow! My summer is officially over...I am sad! My friend Natalia and I went out last night since it was our last night of summer vacation. First, she brought stuff over to my apartment to make cheese ravioli and salad for dinner. It was sure good...my cousin Caitlin joined us too. We decided to go to Northgate last night to celebrate. I mostly just go to country dance halls around town so it was fun to experience something new! We first went to this bar/lounge called Martini Street. I LOVED it! It was very Sex and the Cityish (I think I made that word up) ha!

I usually do not like martini's but this one was good! It was a watermelon flavor and was only $1.50! Gotta love cheap drinks!

Natalia with her martini. She got a raspberry flavor.

We also went to a few other places...we had a lot of fun!!!

Today I need to go buy my books for all my classes. And after that I think I am going to just relax for the rest of the day...I'm exhausted!! That 9:00 am class in the morning is going to kill me...Ha! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!! :)

Back in Aggieland!

Well ya'll I made it back safely to Aggieland today! I had to make four trips from my car to my apartment because I had so much new stuff to bring up! (I am on the second floor too). Wish my dad was here to help! Ha! I was sweating like crazy by the end. At least I burned some calories in the mean time. I am so excited about this coming semester because it will be my Senior year. Last year was my first year here so I was just getting my feet in the door. So I think this next year is going to be great! After next spring I'm off to student teaching! YIKES!

Last night I found out I made a B in my calculus class!

My friend Kristan got to my apartment this afternoon. She is going to be staying with me for a few nights till she can move into her new apartment. So it will be nice having some company! Then my dad is coming up to my place Saturday to help me paint!! I'm soo excited! I will def post pictures!!! Tonight I think Kristan, my cousin Caitlin, Cait's boyfriend Matt, and I are all going to go out to dinner! I am GLAD to be back in Aggieland!!

It's time to CELEBRATE plus a Giveaway!

Do ya'll want to know why I am such in a good mood today?
Because I will never have to look at something like this again....
I am officially done with my summer calculus class! I took my final today and I think I did okay! I feel so relieved! I now have one more math class to take at A&M and then I am totally done with my math courses! I thought it was kind of stupid my degree required me to take calculus since I am majoring in Early Childhood Education. But whatever at least it's over! I have about 2 weeks to enjoy the rest of my summer before my fall classes start back up!

Yesterday I went into Tomball and I found the cutest 5x8 leopard rug on sale for $49.99! I think it is going to look great in my apartment! I am going to buy that leopard lamp at Hobby Lobby later this week and then I am done buying leopard stuff! Too much will not look good.

Charlotte is having her first giveaway! If you would like to win this cute Scout bag go check out her page! It's French Black Twist with pink on the bottom!

Tonight I am defiantly going to go out and celebrate! I am going to go to my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant and I am going to order this!

Thank God It's Thursday!

Thursday's are like my Friday's since I do not have class on Friday's! Today I took my 2nd calculus exam and I think I passed it! I hope I got a A! It's kinda funny that when I took College Algebra a couple years ago I had to drop out of the class because I could not pass one test. Then I took it again with a different teacher and made a 100 on one of the exams. And now I have passed both of my calculus tests! I think it is pretty much ALL about the teacher!

Did ya'll watch So You Think You Can Dance tonight? I don't really watch this show but I wanted to see Katie Holmes perform tonight! I did not know she could sing or dance! I remember when she played Joey on Dawson's Creek. In Junior High I LOVED that show! I bet if she wasn't Tom Cruise's wife she wouldn't of been SYTYCD tonight!

Supposedly, Jon Gosselin is dating two girls now and is hanging out with Lindsay Lohan's dad. Give me a break! And the divorce isn't even finalized yet...it's not looking too good on his part!

Well tomorrow morning I am off to see these two people....my best friend Kimberly and her mom! I will be taking a little computer vacation for the next couple days since I am going to be floating the river in New Braunfels!!

Hope everyone has a good weekend and I will be back Sunday with river pictures!!

College Station Trip

Well I passed my first calculus test! Woo hoo! I am so happy my teacher gave us a review before our test or I really do not think I would of done as well. My teacher said that this past test was just hard algebra and we haven't even got into calculus yet. Uhhh!!! So this week I may have to buy this book.....Ha!
This afternoon after class I made a trip to College Station to take care of a few things. I have missed my apartment! Tonight I met my A&M friends Kristan and Michal for dinner at Los Cuscos....it was yummy! I am so glad Michal got to make it! She had knee replacement surgery about a month ago so she is finally starting to get to go out! I'm staying at my apartment tonight and in the morning I am going to head back to Magnolia. Here are a few pics from our evening!

Me and Kristan!

Me, Kristan, and Michal
Kristan came back to College Station this past week to start working before schools starts back up. Her little brother who is thirteen decided to come stay with her this week. I'm sure he just loved hanging out with us at dinner tongiht. I'm sure we bored him to death. Ha!

Hope everyone has a great Friday!!!!!

Weekend Recap!

I made it through my first week of summer school! It has been pretty easy so far. I was going to wait and take MATH 1351 for Elementary Teachers next fall through Houston Community College online. I heard the other day that this one teacher named Mr. Tabrizi was SUPER easy and to definitely take him. However, he is only teaching MATH 1351 online this summer. So this morning I decided to enroll for it. The class starts tomorrow so I am going to have to make a special trip to Downtown Houston on Tuesday to buy the book. Uhh! This math class lasts all summer so I am hoping it wont be too hard since I am taking calculus in July.

Ya'll should be proud of me. I have worked out everyday this week except yesterday! I have been going to the REC and Friday I went to the park to walk. Also, I have to park clear across campus for my RDNG class at A&M....walking to class and back is about a mile. At least I am killing two birds with one stone ha! I met with my personal trainer on Friday for my fitness evaluation and I start working out with her tomorrow!
Friday night my Aunt Tina, cousins Jared and Caitlin, Matt, and I all went to the Olive Garden in CS to eat. It was really good! Afterwards we went to go see The Hangover. This movie is absolutely hilarious! It was about a group of guys going to Vegas for one of the guys Bachelor party and almost missing the wedding. If you like movies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Knocked Up, or Superbad you will like this movie! I cracked up the whole time!Yesterday I went to Houston for my cousin Jeremy's high school graduation from Klien. It was at Reliant Stadium. Afterwards, we all went to Los Cucos on 249 to celebrate! He is planning on going to Oklahoma State University in the fall. Congrats Jeremy!

Jeremy and I
Me and Cait at Los Cucos
Fun Aunt Michelle, me, and Lauren
I absolutely hate trying on swim suits! Last night I decided to buy a swim suit online at Victoria's Secret. It's really cute...it's brown and white. Have ya'll ever bought a swim suit online before? The only thing I am worried about is that it wont fit. I should be getting it in the next week so we shall see!

Hope everyone had a good weekend! :)

Summer School, Personal Training, and Bachelorette!

I stared summer school today and I almost was late to my first class. I hit the snooze button a few too many times. Also, it took me almost 25 minutes to find my class on campus. All of my previous education classes are in the Education building but on my student schedule it said that the class I am taking this summer is in the CHAN building. I had no idea what CHAN meant. So I was walking around campus like a chicken with my head cut off asking everyone if they knew where the CHAN building was. No one knew. So finally I looked through my syllabus and it said it was held in the Chemistry building....kinda weird. Wish I would of looked at the syllabus to begin with! So I walk into class drenched with sweat at 9:35. I made it just in time!

I think this is going to be a pretty interesting class. It's all about how to teach children how to read. And I already LOVE the teacher! It is a M-F class and she said we only have to meet "in class" twice a week and the rest is online. I can sleep in some now!! Summer 1 session at TAMU ends July 2nd but my teacher said the last few days of our class will be all online. We are planning to go to Destin in between by summer one and two sessions....which was going to be a short trip. But now I am thinking we can leave a couple days early and I will just bring my laptop on the trip with me so I can do my last few online sessions and take my final. Today I went to the REC and signed up with a personal trainer. I am thinking she is a student at A&M. Her profile said her major was Elementary Education. I bought 10 sessions for $230 dollars which was not bad at all. Last summer at the YMCA 10 sessions cost over $400. She is supposed to call me in the next 2-3 days so we can get started. I am looking forward to lifting weights again!

What did everyone think of the Bachelorette tonight? I think David needs anger management help! He scares me! Juan needs to go. I wish she would realize Wes is not good for her. He sings that same verse in the song he wrote over and over. I think that's they only part he has knows. Ha! And that foot guy is creepy. I still really like Jake. Ed and Robby seem nice too. What do you think? Who is your favorite?
