Top 2 Tuesday: To do before you die

This week's topic for Top 2 Tuesday is....

Top 2 things you want to do before you die

1. Go on a reality TV show or game show.

As you know I LOVE reality TV. I always tell my friends if I'm not married by my mid twenties I'm going on The Bachelor!

Or I would love to go on a game show like Deal or No Deal, Wheel of Fortune, or The Price is Right. Everyone used to make fun of me because I enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune just as much as my great grandmother! Ha!

2. Become a professional photographer/start a photography business.

I really want to take a photography class so I can learn all about taking pictures. Bloggers who have a background in photography - what type of camera would you recommend me purchasing? I love pregnant people (I know...kinda weird) and babies. On the side of teaching I would love to take professional maternity pictures, newborn/baby pictures, and Senior Portraits.

My Cousins Graduation Weekend!

How was your weekend? I had a fun but busy weekend! Saturday afternoon I met my aunt to pick up my cousin Lauren so she could go to our other cousin Demi's graduation from A&M and spend the night with me! Demi received her degree in interdisciplinary studies and is going to be a teacher like me! : ) Her graduation lasted THREE hours long! It was hilarious....my grandpa was crossing off the names as they were called! Ha! My other cousin Dalena (who is Demi's sister) graduated with her master's degree from University of North Texas Friday! Congrats Demi and Dalena!

Demi with her Diploma from Texas A&M! WHOOP!

 Demi's Graduation Hat - isn't it cute?!

Later that night Caitlin, Lauren, and I all went to go see Letters to Juliet. It was too cute! Y'all should go see it! Lauren is only 16 so my aunt (her mom) was joking with me not to take her bar hopping. Ha! However, on the way home from the movies I did drive past Northgate so she could see where our weekend hang out is.

Yesterday we woke up and baked cupcakes for Demi and Dalena's graduation party! For Demi's cupcakes we scanned her graduation photo and taped it onto a Popsicle stick to put inside the cupcake (it was my aunt's idea). I'm not that creative! Their party was in Cy-Fair yesterday afternoon!

I had a fun time this weekend with all my cousins!

Have a good week!

Favorite Fridays, Blog Award, and Thunderstorms!

I have reached 200 followers! Yay! Thank y'all so much for reading my blog!

This week's Favorite Fridays Topic is Favorite R&B Singer!

Mine is.....Usher!!!

I remember going to his concert back in high school with my best friend Kimberly and Brandon. I remember writing on Kimberly's mom's car "I LOVE USHER" before we went! Ha! We jammed out all the way to the concert listening to Usher's popular songs back then - Confessions, Let It Burn, and YEAH! It was SO much fun...he put on a great show! We also saw our principle there which was kinda weird!

Who is your favorite R&B singer?

The other day Annie gave me this blog award...thank you SO much Annie! She is a teacher as well! Check out her blog...it's cute!

I'm going to pass this Sweet Blog award onto a couple of my new readers!

Rebekah @ Life With The Edwards and Lori @ Life Full of Laughter! I love their blogs!

Tonight it is storming here in Texas and I it!  I'm going to curl up on my couch tonight and finish Baby Proof by Emily Giffin. It is such a good book! I hope it ends the way I want it too!

Tomorrow my cousin Lauren is coming to stay with me so we can go to my other cousin's college graduation from A&M :)

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Show Us Your Life: Favorite Children's Books

I haven't participated in Kelly's Show Us Your Life in a long time! I figured I would join in this week! Maybe I can get some good book ideas from all you bloggers!

I'm a future teacher so I obviously love children's books! I'm starting to build my classroom library now so I will be have a lot of books for when I start teaching next year! Here are a few of my favorite books for children!

My all time favorite book is The Rainbow Fish! It's a book about morals, being an individual, and sharing. I did a podcast on this book this semester for my Language Arts class.

Thank You Mr. Falker is a great book for children who are having trouble learning to read. I won't say too much in case you haven't read it.  It's a great story!

One of my education teachers came to class dressed up as Miss Nelson last semester and read this book to us! It was pretty funny!

I LOVE all of the If You Give A Mouse A Cookie book series!

And of course I love all the books by Dr. Seuss! One of my favorites is the Foot Book - it's the first book I learned how to read!

And my all time favorite chapter book is Number The Stars - it's about the Holocaust of the Second World War.

Also, as a child I loved the Junie B. Jones chapter book series...there hilarious!!

What are some of YOUR favorite children's books? Teachers or Parents - what books should I for sure get for my classroom?

Style Watch and Being Adventurous!

Happy Wednesday!!! I used to hate Wednesday's but I'm actually starting to like them.

I just applied to be a caregiver for a couple's two children this summer...I hope I get the job! : ) I have been applying to restaurants ALL week and no one will hire me!

Have y'all heard of Romper's? My cousin tried on one the other day and I loved it on her! I think I'm going to buy one! I'm wondering if it would look good on me though since I'm so short? Did you know I'm only 4'11?!

What kinda shoes would you wear with it? Heels?

My dad bought our airline tickets last night for Colorado!!! We leave in about a month...I'm excited! This is going to be a different kind of vacation for us. We are usually the type of family that is used to just sitting on the beach soaking up the sun with a Pina Colada in our hand. However, this vacation is going to be way different...we are going to be adventurous! We are planning on going white water rafting and mountain climbing! How long do you think we will last?! My mom thinks it sounds like a grand idea now but wait until we get there! Ha!

Have y'all ever been white water rafting before? I'm thinking we are going to go on the slowest route and have a guide. Is it really that scary?

Hope y'all enjoy your day!

Job Hunting, Baby Proof, and Blog Book

I have been job hunting the past two days in College Station and I have had NO luck! I have been to about every restaurant and no one is hiring for the summer. Every restaurant I have been to is looking for applicants who can stay awhile. I'm hoping I can find a job waiting tables since I have experience in that area but I may have to look for something else. Do y'all have any ideas of where I can find a job?!?!

Yesterday I applied at Red Lobster and I had an interview right away with the manager. One of the questions the manager asked me was, why I wanted to work for Red Lobster?  I didn't really know what to say...so I told her I thought it would be a nice place to work and that I really liked seafood. I told my mom what I said and she about died. Well....what was I suppose to say?! Ha! Guess I need to work on my interviewing skills!!!

HELP! I need a JOB! lol

I just started reading Baby Proof yesterday. It's pretty good so far! I'm not too much of a reader but I love reading during the summer!

Have any of y'all ever thought of turning your blog into a book? I'm thinking about turning some of my posts into a book one day. I think it would be a neat idea! Do you know about who much it would cost?

Have a great night!
