Summer School, Personal Training, and Bachelorette!

I stared summer school today and I almost was late to my first class. I hit the snooze button a few too many times. Also, it took me almost 25 minutes to find my class on campus. All of my previous education classes are in the Education building but on my student schedule it said that the class I am taking this summer is in the CHAN building. I had no idea what CHAN meant. So I was walking around campus like a chicken with my head cut off asking everyone if they knew where the CHAN building was. No one knew. So finally I looked through my syllabus and it said it was held in the Chemistry building....kinda weird. Wish I would of looked at the syllabus to begin with! So I walk into class drenched with sweat at 9:35. I made it just in time!

I think this is going to be a pretty interesting class. It's all about how to teach children how to read. And I already LOVE the teacher! It is a M-F class and she said we only have to meet "in class" twice a week and the rest is online. I can sleep in some now!! Summer 1 session at TAMU ends July 2nd but my teacher said the last few days of our class will be all online. We are planning to go to Destin in between by summer one and two sessions....which was going to be a short trip. But now I am thinking we can leave a couple days early and I will just bring my laptop on the trip with me so I can do my last few online sessions and take my final. Today I went to the REC and signed up with a personal trainer. I am thinking she is a student at A&M. Her profile said her major was Elementary Education. I bought 10 sessions for $230 dollars which was not bad at all. Last summer at the YMCA 10 sessions cost over $400. She is supposed to call me in the next 2-3 days so we can get started. I am looking forward to lifting weights again!


What did everyone think of the Bachelorette tonight? I think David needs anger management help! He scares me! Juan needs to go. I wish she would realize Wes is not good for her. He sings that same verse in the song he wrote over and over. I think that's they only part he has knows. Ha! And that foot guy is creepy. I still really like Jake. Ed and Robby seem nice too. What do you think? Who is your favorite?

Back in College Station

This afternoon I made it back to College Station. I have been home the past two weeks subbing a little and just relaxing. It has been so nice not to have to worry about school! But....that's over. I start summer school tomorrow at 9:30 in the morning :( I don't think it will be too bad though. Tonight Caitlin's boyfriend made us chicken tetrazzini and garlic bread. It was very good! Caitlin has found her a winner since he knows how to cook! Ha!

This weekend we went to go visit my grandpa in the hospital in Houston. He has been having really back headaches....they thought he had a stroke. But, in the CAT scan an old stroke showed up. Now there thinking he has the shingles. He's doing better though. He was talking up a storm when we went to go visit him. Hopefully he will get to go home sometime this week.

It's a sip of wine, it's summertime

This is what I did today....

Tanned outside. I was tanning out in my yard but it was way too hot without a pool! My best friend Kimberly who lives in Denton called me and said I should go lay out by her dad's pool since he was at work. (Kimberly's family has lived right behind mine for years). It felt so nice to get in the water!
Had a Sonic Diet. Dr Pepper Fountain drink right beside me

And listened to some good country music!
Now that's why I love summertime!!! :)

Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday Kailee and I went out to lunch at Los Cucos with our friend Jason, who we haven't seen in a couple years. We all went to Concordia together our freshman year of high school. It was good getting to catch up. Kailee works at a Italian restaurant in Tomball and a lady she waited on several weeks ago was a Mary Kay consultant. The lady invited Kailee to be a guest at a Mary Kay party she was hosting and said she could bring a friend. So last night Kailee and I went to the party in Tomball. We got to do facials so that was fun. These Mary Kay women are too funny...they really get into it. If you make a lot of sales you get promoted with a "red jacket" to wear. And if your really high up in the company you get a Pink Cadillac.


Today I have been really productive. I went shopping at the mall and bought some new clothes with my "casino" money. I bought a pair of Artist Jeans at American Eagle, a shirt from Forever 21, and a cute top from Kohls. I also bought some sandals at Payless. They have some really good summer shoes on sale right now. Then I went to the car wash to get my car cleaned. It needed it bad!! I felt sorry for the people who had to vacuum it!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!

Today my friend Kailee and I were going to go to a restaurant on I-45 called Crabby Daddy's for lunch. I think we have been eating out too much and if I want to look good for a beach vacation I need to stop. So instead we decided to go walking in Spring Creek Park. It was a beautiful day out and afterwards we went to Subway to get a sandwich.....which was much healthier than greasy fried shrimp and fries. I start summer school next week at A&M and I am thinking about getting a personal trainer for the month of June at the REC (which is a gym on campus). Since I go to school there it would only cost $25 for an hour session. I'm thinking about doing it 4-5 days a week. I got a phone call the other day from my old personal trainer Karen, who use to work out of her home. She quit training about a year ago and she called to say that she was starting her business back up part time. So I figured when I come home in July for the calculus class I could go to her a couple times a week.

My dad has been grilling all weekend. Tonight we had brisket and pasta salad which was really good. Then my mom and I watched the Bachelorette! And my favorite bachelor is............

JAKE!!

He is too cute and sweet! He is a commercial pilot from Denton, TX (that's in the town where my best friend Kimberly goes to school). Tonight Jillian and Jake went on a date to The House of Blues in L.A. The club was reserved just for them and they got a private concert by Martina Mcbride! What a cool date! I really do not like Wes. He lives in Austin, TX and wants to be a musician. I feel like he is just there for publicity and is trying to promote his music career. He seems kind of sleazy to me.
