Hey everyone! We got back from Colorado late Friday night! We left the Friday before last...we had a very early flight! We had to get up by 4:00 so we could be at the airport by 5:15! We do not fly often so we are quite comical at the airport because we never know what to do, ha! But I love flying...my favorite part is taking off and landing!
We arrived in Colorado early Friday morning - it's an hour earlier there than it is in Texas. Have any of y'all ever been on the automatic bus at the airport? It's kinda like an underground subway...we had to get on one at the airport in Denver. That thing about scared me to death! My parents got on the bus first and then as I was about to get on the doors starting shutting....so I just stood their looking stupid. My dad was yelling "get in"! And I was yelling "NO just go"! And the bus was saying, "your holding up the bus"! So finally I went through the closing doors and THREW by bag on the floor! I bet people were thinking these people must not travel much! Can't ya tell how adventurous I am? Ha!
We had to rent a car and the drive to Copper Mountain was about an hour and a half. The ride up there was beautiful! I couldn't believe all the mountains! Here are some pics....I took these out of the car window.
One of the many waterfalls!
There was still a little bit of snow on the mountains!
We finally arrived to our resort a little after noon. Copper Mountain is really close to Vail and Breckenridge. Have y'all ever been there before?
The resort was like a little village - it had a fire station, shops, restaurants, etc. It was SOOO dead though. No one was hardly there. I'm guessing it is packed during the winter season. If you don't like crowds then this is the place you need to go!
Here's a picture of the shops and restaurants
We stayed in a little condo - this is the view from our balcony! Isn't it gorgeous!
The next day we went to Frisco, CO for a BBQ Competition Cook-off! The cook-off signs were pretty funny so we had to get some pictures!
My dad's name is David but we call him BOB since he is just like his dad! We thought this sign fit him perfectly! Doesn't he look thrilled, ha!
Los Nerds!
Me with my yummy Margarita!
Corn on the cob! I love carnival food!
Later that day we took a trip up to Breckenridge! I think I like Breckenridge better than Copper Mountain... it is a little more crowded!
Me and Bob, ha!
Here is some pictures by the river in Breckenridge!
We wanted to ride a gondola up to the top of the mountain but it wasn't open yet so we took a ski lift instead. It was beautiful up there!
Me and my dad on the top of the mountain!
Look closely at this picture!
That night we had Italian food back in Frisco...We were worn out when we got back to the condo! I think the high altitude got to us!
More too come!!! I hope you don't get sick of my vacation posts this week!

Coppers where I learned to ski! I'll be heading to Breckenridge in a week and a half to stay in my aunt and uncle's vacation home. LOVE Breck - especially in the summer. Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you're doing well.
HEYY!! We totally stayed in Frisco at the golf course when we were there for spring break. We skied at both Breckenridge and Keystone. I absolutely LOVED Breckenridge!!
