My Weekend

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Our weekend started off kind of crazy. Friday night after my parents and I had dinner in The Woodlands my dad was complaining his chest was feeling kind of tight. (He started taking blood pressure medication several months ago). I kept on asking him if he was okay and if he thought we should take him to the E.R....but he said no that he was fine. Before he went to bed he took is blood pressure and it was a little high but not too bad. So about 30 minutes later I hear him get up to go walk around outside. I didn't know this till later...but the reason he got up is so he could take some low dose aspirin just in case he was having a heart attack. He then takes his blood pressure again before he lays back down and it had jumped WAY up. So we ended up calling an ambulance just to be safe. He didn't really want us too but we did anyway. You know how men are! The paramedics got to our house within like 5 minutes after we called and they ran a EKG on him. The results showed that he had no major heart attack but they still wanted to take him in just in case he had a minor one. And because his blood pressure was so high. On the way to the hospital my mom and I were talking that he must of been kind of worried himself since he didn't argue with us too much for calling an ambulance and because he took the 4 low dose aspirin.

So anyways we get up to the hospital at like 1:30 am and they have him into a room in the E.R. within minutes of getting there. (By the way if you ever need to go to the E.R. sometimes calling an ambulance is better because they get you in quicker). They take his blood, do another EKG, run some chest x-rays. The doctor comes in about 3:00 am and tells us that his chest x-ray came back fine. His heart and lungs look good. They said that his chest tightness could of been from the neck surgery he had a couple years and that he may need to go see a neurologist in the next couple months. They said his blood pressure was high maybe due to the chest tightness. So they let him go and we got home at like 3:45 that morning. We felt so much better when we found out that everything was okay. Thank God! It is already better to be safe than sorry. We were talking about starting a heart healthy diet. I think it would be good for all of us!!!

So anyways, have ya'll been to Kohls lately? I went yesterday to find a dress for last night and they have some good sales right now! I bought this really cute dress that was originally $36.00 for only $13!!! And I bout some earrings to match it that were 70% off!
Yesterday afternoon I went to College Station to go visit my friend Kristan and cousin Caitlin. Caitlin's friends from Georgia flew in yesterday afternoon to visit her for a few days. We all had dinner at Los Cucos and then went out to Harry's (which is a country dance hall in CS). It was a lot of fun! Here are pictures!

Thanks for the sweet comment, and now I found your blog :) I lived in CS from 2001-2005. Oh the fun nights we had at Harrys! It's funny you mentioned Los Cucos. We used to think it was a local CS restaurant...until we moved to Houston and found 7 other locations! haha

I'm glad your dad is ok, so scary!
