MckLinky Blog Hop

I have decided to participate this week in the MckLinky Blog Hop. This week's theme is 3 things you might not know about me.

1. Umm....lets see. My best friend Kimberly and I have been friends since we were 4 years old. We grew up right behind each other. We used to love playing dress up over at each others houses!

Can you guess which one is me? (Picture taken Christmas 1992).

Us Now!

2. I have been an extra in a Will Ferrell movie before! A couple years ago my mom, aunt, cousin, and I all got to be an extra in the movie Semi Pro that was filmed in Los Angeles. We didn't have a big part but it was still pretty cool.....we were fans in the basketball stadium.

My cousin Caitlin and I going to go see our first BIG movie premiere a few years ago. We thought we were celebrities! Ha!

GO AGGIES!

3. I am going to be graduating from Texas A&M University in Dec. 2010. I am majoring in Early Childhood Education. I used to want to teach the 4th grade but now I am thinking about 2nd!

Eli Young Band Concert!

Eli Young Band

Last night my friend Kristan and I went to the Sam Houston Race Park to see the Eli Young Band! Before the concert we went to a restaurant called BJ's off of 1960 to eat. The concert was a lot of fun! It was sooo extremely HOT though! I am getting sick of the Texas 102 degree weather! It's been awhile since I have seen the Eli Young Band in concert. Mike Eli is actually from Tomball, Texas and graduated from Tomball HS. The group started their band in Denton, Texas where my best friend Kimberly goes to school.

Kristan and I didn't get to meet them last night....but I have met the band several times before. This picture was taken in 2007 when Kimberly and I met the group in Huntsville.

Use to pull off Highway 249...

Jon Gosselin pictured with Kate's plastic surgery doctor's daughter. I cant believe how he is moving along so fast. Do you think he is just having a mid life crisis? I mean come on...he dresses like a celebrity now, smokes, and wears earrings.

4th of July in Destin!

We spent the 4th of July in Destin this year. On the night of the 4th we went to the restaurant Pat Obrien's. You might have heard of the Pat Obrien's in New Orleans before....they just opened this one up in Destin. We sat on the patio which over looks the ocean. It was really cool because they put a firework show on right where we were.

This drink was called Rainstorm...soo good but sweet! I got to keep the glass too!

One place that we like to go to in Destin is called The BoatHouse Oyster Bar. Its a really small place that is covered in 1 dollar bills. It's a pretty fun place!

And just so happens the table we sit down at has this written on the table! Ha!

Well I started my calculus class yesterday and it's going to be HARD! A girl that I went to HS with is in my class and she said she has had this teacher before and he was hard. Looks like I will be working my butt off! Last night I went out with some friend to Goose's Acre on the Woodlands River Walk. I have missed everyone...it was good seeing everybody!

I still have tons of more pictures to post of our vacation....including the 4th of July! I will try to do that this weekend! Hope everyone has a good Friday!

Were back from Destin...more photo's from our Vacation!

Well we finally made it home from Florida tonight. It was a loooong 13 hour drive! We stopped in Louisiana at the Casino on our way home to see if we would have any luck. We each had $20 to spend and we were back in the car within 30 minutes. Ha! I had a great time in Florida laying out on the beach, reading magazines and books, and eating good seafood. I start my summer calculus class in the morning....I'm depressed! Here are some more pictures from our trip!!!

We stayed at the Pelican Beach Resort

Our 2nd night in Destin we decided to try out this new restaurant called Baby J's that is on the Harbor. It looked pretty good but the service was horrible! It took over an hour to get our food out. My dad mentioned to the bar tender (who was also the manager) that it was taking awhile with our food and she got testy with us. Then another man went up to complain and the manager threaten to call the cops on him. She must of been in the weeds! ("In the weeds" is what we always called it when I worked as a waitress when we were busy). We ended up getting our food comped...we were assuming that the manager thought she was going to get fired if she didn't comp it! The food was pretty good....so if you go to Destin I would only eat there if it's not busy!

My mom and I on our balcony before dinner at Baby J's

We went out to the beach about every day. I have a good tan now! The water was a little colder this year for some reason. One thing I like about Destin is that you don't really have to worry about Jelly Fish. Some years they can be bad like last year....but most of the time you don't see any.

I LOVE when thunderstorms roll in while were on the beach. Last Thursday we were sitting on the beach and the sky started looking pretty dark. All of a sudden the winds picked up to about 60-70 mph and it started pouring down rain. The sand was flying everywhere and people's beach chairs ended up in the ocean. Everyone started running up to the hotel lobby freaking out. My dad and I loved it. He got pretty excited....my mom keeps teasing him that this was the highlight of his trip! It only last about 45 minutes but it was fun!

The storm rolling in

I will be missing lounging back in my lawn chair tomorrow sitting in my math class!!! : ( I will post more pictures from Florida later this week!
