2 more weeks!!

I cant wait for this semester to be OVER! This morning I did not hear my alarm clock go off for class...thank god I did not have a test. That would of been bad!I have about two more weeks then I am done! This week I have a project due and a research paper...so much fun! Then my friend Natalia informed me last night that our two Book Talks are due Friday by 11:00 pm. I knew that the were due on May 1st but for some reason I did not know May 1st was Friday!
Okay....so now to American Idol. Did ya'll watch last night? I feel like they are really promoting Adam to win. I mean he gets this grand entrance coming down the stairs and he is the only one who wears a white suit. I like Adam...I think he is really talented but I feel like there pushing him to win. I just do not think it is fair to the other contestants. I am glad Melissa did not get kicked off from DWTS last night. I did not really want to see Juliann and Chuck go but I wanted Melissa to stay. I hope she gets better! My mom told me that the Bachelorette starts on May 18th...I am excited about that! I wish Natalia and Kristan were going to be here in May so they could watch it with us!

Well I am going to go get back to work. Hope everyone has a great day!

Also, my little cousin Abby turns six today...Happy Birthday Abby!
We took this picture when we took Abby to go see the Hannah Montana 3D movie!

22nd Birthday

Thanks Kimberly for the cake!

I had a great weekend celebrating my birthday with all of my friends! Thank you everyone for the gifts...I love them! That was very sweet of ya'll! Thursday night my parents came in to take me and all of my friends to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. I was so excited about the new digital camera my parents bought me for my birthday! Cait said its called Technology!! So now I do not have to scan all of my pictures one by one onto my computer! I was so embarrassed at Roadhouse because they made me get on a saddle and act like I was a bird!

Kimberly gave me these cute clogs that I can wear this summer!I love this frame Caitlin gave me...it is too cute!I love this wine glass Michal gave me with my initial on it! Also, the orange coasters look great with my apartment...thanks Kristan! Thanks for the movie, Natalia! This week we need to have a girls night and watch it!Last night we all went out to Los Cucos and had Mexican food. Then we went to Hurricane Harry's to go country dancing...it was fun! I had a great birthday...thank you everyone for coming! Here are some more pictures....

Birthday Weekend!!

This week I have been driving my parents car because mine is in the shop. Tomorrow my parents are coming up to College Station to take me out to dinner for my 22nd birthday and bringing me back my car. Kimberly is going to my parents house tonight because she has to drop her car off at the shop in the morning. She is going to ride with my parents up to College Station tomorrow and is going to stay the weekend with me. Friday night some of my friends from back home and here are all going out with me for my birthday! I think we are going to go eat at a Mexican restaurant and then go out afterwards. Its so werid because I remember for my 21st I was counting down the days! The picture I posted was at the hotel I got for my 21st birthday in Downtown Houston last year. I am soo not a city girl! After that night I realized I like going to country bars a lot better than clubs in downtown!! It might of been just the club we went too...it was very shady! I have been doing good on my diet so far this week! My friend Natalia had a salad tonight in class with hard boiled eggs and it looked so good! So tonight when I got home I made Kristan and I salad with hard boiled eggs on top. It was very good! I am looking foward to this weekend and seeing everyone!! :)

Appointment with the Dietitian

Today I went to the Bryan Women's Center to see a Dietitian. I am wanting to lose like 15-20 pounds and needed to go get some advice. The lady I met with was really nice and helpful. I told her my eating habits and why I want to lose weight. She said for my height and weight right now I would need to eat 1400 calories a day to lose 1 pound a week. She said it is ALL about counting your calories!! For breakfast, lunch, and dinner I need to intake 400 calories. And then for snacks for the whole day I can have 250 calories. She also gave me this little book that has meal plans in it and on the go meal plans. She had all the restaurants in College Station and what the best thing to eat at each restaurant is. Even Los Cucos!! She told me to write everything I eat down and come see here again in 2 weeks. So afterwards, I went to Walmart and bought some of the things that she recommend for meals. I am starting tomorrow! So wish me luck! If I do this I could lose 16 pounds healthily by August 21st. Which means I will look good for the start of next semester!!

Here is a picture of me from Summer 2007...I thought I was fat then...but looking back I think I looked pretty good!! This was when my mom and I were working out with that personal trainer. Wish I would of kept it up!

30th Anniversary Party

This weekend I went home for my parent's 30th surprise anniversary party (actually my dad knew about it). My mom's friend Dotty who was her maid of honer gave her a surprise party at her house last night. I told my mom the reason I was going home this weekend was because my friends back home were going to take me out for my birthday. Friday evening we went to 7 Leguas and during dinner my dad goes "Christa is Baby Caitlin coming"? ( We have called Cait Baby Caitlin ever since she was born for some reason haha. Even my youngest cousin Abby who is 5 calls her that). My dad caught himself and tried to act like he didn't know what he was talking about. I was kinda suspecting my mom might of knew what was going on.

So anyways, Dotty told her a year or so ago that she wanted to throw them a 30th anniversary party. My mom has kinda been wondering if she was going to throw them one soon. So Saturday my moms friend Pat picks her and my dad up to go to Dotty's. I leave shortly after to meet my family in the Kroger parking lot so they could follow me to Dotty's house. When we got there my grandparents, aunts, uncles, Caitlin, and I all walk in and say SURPRISE!!! My mom starts cracking up laughing and says, "Is this for Diagnostician's Week"? My mom is a Diagnostician for a school district and one week out of the school year is Diagnostician's week. My mom always jokes around that no one buys her anything. She always email friends and family giving them an address and a phone number to her favorite candy story in Houston (Keggs Candy).

Dotty served appetizers, drinks, and cake...it was very nice. One of my mom's friends husband is a photographer so he also took a lot of pictures! Once we get some copies of them...I'll post them! My mom and dad got silverware for one of their anniversary presents!!!! Now we finally do not have to share a fork every time I come home!! Afterwards, some of us went to 7 Leguas for margarita's and Mexican food! I introduced everyone to my favorite waiter Miguel! Tonight a couple of my friends are coming over so we can watch the premiere on Lifetime of the Natalee Holloway movie. She is the girl that went missing four years ago during a senior trip her and her friends took to Aruba. I hope everyone had a great weekend!!

It's Almost the Weekend!!

I have been really bad about blogging this week! I have been busy doing presentations and projects all week. I had a literary element project due in one of my education classes over the book Number the Stars. On Wednesday I had to be the "teacher" and teach the literary element of theme. I am hoping one day I can use what I learned from this project to teach my students the literary elements to Number the Stars (if I teach the fourth grade). It is a really good book about a little girl and her family who live in Copenhagen during the Holocaust in World War II. Her best friend is Jewish and has to come stay with her so she will not be found by the Nazi's. I remember reading this book in the seventh grade and loving it. I would recommend reading it!
On Tuesday I had to do a presentation with my group for our INST class. We had to discuss the topic of GT students. We have been working on this project ALL semester long. Tonight we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to celebrate being done with it!! I was glad that Matt got saved by the judges in American Idol this week. I felt Lil' should of been the one to get kicked off. This coming Monday I made an appointment with a Dietitian here in Bryan. I heard she is really good. I am hoping she can give me a plan on what I need to eat everyday that is healthy, quick, and easy. I would love to be able to lose 15-20 lbs. Well finals are ALMOST here so that means school is over soon! Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)
