Easter 2009

I got back to College Station yesterday from Houston. I had a fun and relaxing weekend! Friday night my friend Matt and I went to go see Fast and Furious 4. I remember in high school I loved that movie when it came out! Saturday my friend Rachel, a couple of her friends, and I went to go eat at the Cheesecake Factory in The Woodlands. I was brave and ordered the chicken salad sandwich again. I love their chicken salad but in November I ordered it and the chicken was raw! But this time I did not see any raw chicken. I am always nervous about that now!

Sunday for Easter we went over to my Grandma Katherine's first and had hamburgers/hot dogs. It was good to see everyone! I was upset that there was no drama this year! But at least Caitlin did not miss out on anything! Afterwards, we went to my Grandma Frances' house to visit. Hope everyone had a good Easter!!

New Hair Style!!

Today I went to Visible Changes and got my hair highlighted/cut. Do ya'll like it? She put some blonde highlights/low lights on top but still kept some of the brown I already had. I have been going to this lady for years now but when I got my hair done last October I went to someone in College Station. I'm glad I got a appointment with her today because she is 8 months pregnant and about to start maternity leave. I hope everyone is enjoying their Good Friday!

Home for Easter!!

I am so happy Easter break is here! I got home tonight from College Station around 7:30 and my parents took me to Landry's seafood restaurant. It was a nice night out so we sat on the patio that's by the river walk. Can you believe we did not go to 7 Leguas?? I really wanted too but my parents do not really like the food there anymore. How rude! We split oysters for an appetizer...I am starting to really like them! And I got the coconut shrimp which is one of my favorites! Tomorrow I am getting my hair done at Visible Changes for one of my early birthday presents...I am excited! I went really dark in October of last year and I think I want to put a some blonde highlights back in. Not too much blonde though because I like contrast. Did anyone see Adam perform on American Idol Tuesday night? He has soo much talent...I think he is my favorite!! It seems like the judges/producers are pushing him to win. It's good to be back home! Hope everyone has a good break!!

My Favorite Things!

I thought I would do a different kind of post today and share my favorite things...

1. Favorite Drink- I would have to say now Diet Dr. Pepper in the morning! I'm getting as bad as my mom with her Diet Coke! I also love frozen margaritas with salt!

2. Favorite Vacation Spot- Destin, Florida! Destin has gorgeous beaches with white sand and blue water! We have been going for years now!

Kimberly and I on the beach
Beach view from our balcony!
3. Favorite Restaurant- Anyone who knows me knows this answer! 7 Leguas of course! They pretty much know me by name there. When I call in to place a TO GO order the hostess always says "is this Christa"? How bad is that!! Ha!

7 Leguas even wished me Happy 21st Birthday!

4. Favorite Memories of this past year- Turning 21, going to Las Vegas with my family, going to Biloxi and Destin, starting school at A&M, and spring break trip to South Padre!!!

My first slot and favorite...Wheel of Fortune!!
My mom, Aunt Shannon, and I went to go see Mamma Mia ( the play) while we where in Vegas! It was so good!!Caitlin and I at an Aggies game! The girls in Padre!6. Favorite Holiday- Definitely Christmas! I love putting up the lights outside, decorating the houses and tree, looking at X-mas lights, and drinking hot chocolate!

Kimberly and I at my house Christmas 2007
7. Favorite animal- I love frogs! I don't know why... just do!

8. Favorite store- Would have to be Forever 21! They have tons of cute clothes that are really cheap. Usually you can get an outfit in there for about 20-30 bucks. I also love Sam Moon and Charming Charlie's for accessories.

Chilifest 2009 - Snook, Texas

I'm so happy the weekend is here! Last night and today I am trying to get most of my homework done because I know I will not be doing any of it this weekend. Tomorrow is Chilifest 2009 in Snook, Texas. It's a huge Texas Country music festival that goes on all day and night. People that are on a "team" get to spend the night out there tonight for the cook off. Some of the performers are Pat Green, Reckless Kelly, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Stoney Larue, and Robert Earl Keen. Caitlin and I are going to take a bus out there tomorrow that leaves from The Hall. So that will be nice not having to drive. That means we can have more fun! :) Last night the Texas Country band Eli Young Band was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! I have met them numerous times at different concerts. Mike Eli is from Tomball, Texas and his new song starts with "I used to pull off highway 249". That was one of the songs they sang last night on Jimmy Kimmel which was cool! They are mainly just popular in Texas...but I think they just signed a contract with Universal Record Company.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
P.S. Kristan hope you feel better soon!

April Fools!

I always like the month of April because it seems to go by so quickly. I guess being usually the month of Easter and my birthday makes it fly by. And then summer is here in May! This is the first summer I am going to be going to summer school :( I have been lucky ever since starting college not having to take classes in the summer. My friend Kyle works 3 weeks out of the month in a different state. He texted me this morning at like 5 saying that he was tired of all the crap at work and was moving back home! At first I believed him, then I figured he is probably playing a joke on me! Which he was! My friend Natalia texted a second ago saying that our picture was on the Teaching Learning and Culture website. The picture was of when the elementary school teacher of the year Grant Simpson came to talk to our class last semester. He seemed like a really good teacher and he also was really cute! He graduated from A&M a few years back and now is teaching in the Dallas area.

(Im the one on the far right with the sunglasses on my head)
And at the bottom it says Always Expect More out of Aggie Teachers lol
Have ya'll played any good jokes on anyone today or had any played on you?
