Casino Trip Recap!!!!

If you have noticed that I have been MIA for the past few days it's because I have been in Lake Charles, Louisiana! We decided to take a trip to the L'Auberge du Lac Resort and Casino for my dad's birthday! We left this past Monday morning and came back today! Lake Charles is about three hours away from where we live so it wasn't too bad of a drive! I was happy that my friend Kristan was able to come with us too! 

The Sunday before we left we took my dad out to Outback for his birthday! He hates when the servers sing to him! : )

Have y'all ever heard of Cut N Shoot, TX? It's a small town that we have to drive through on our way to Louisiana. Don't ya love the name of it? The city of Cut N Shoot has it's own city hall, reception hall, and souvenir shop! I think I may want to have my wedding reception at the reception hall in Cut N Shoot! Ha, totally kidding!

When we got to Lake Charles we stopped and ate lunch at this place! They have the best seafood! I ordered fried crawfish tails!

We finally made it to the hotel Monday afternoon!

After we got checked in we headed down to the pool!

And...yes we had to watch The Bachelorette while getting ready Monday night, ha! We have no life! What did y'all think? I think Frank is a jerk and does not know what he wants! Hope she picks Chris!

I didn't take pictures of our second night at the casino - are you shocked? I had SO much fun even though I didn't win! Kristan's dad came last night to gamble with us for a bit.....he works close by to where we were staying! We had a blast on the craps table! It's so much fun when you are playing with people you know! 

I can't wait till we go back again! : ) I have to take my EC - 6th grade content exam tomorrow morning to become a certified teacher! Pray that I pass!

Louisiana Trip Summer 2010 and Celebrity News!

I'm so excited because next week we leave for Louisiana for my dad's birthday! We are going to stay at a casino/resort for a couple of days to celebrate! I cannot wait to lay out by the pool, play craps, and hopefully win $250 again on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine! My friend Kristan may get to go with us....cross your fingers that her boss lets her off today! : )

Did y'all know that Carrie Underwood got married this past weekend? I'm going to have to go buy the magazine! She looks so pretty....like always!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I'm back...hope everyone is doing well! Merry Christmas Eve! Sorry I have been MIA this past week! My best friend Kimberly came into town last Friday evening and has stayed the week with my family. Last Sunday my parents took us to the L'Auberge du Lac Casino and Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana. While we were there we got to eat some yummy seafood and Cajun food! We had a blast playing craps and the Wheel of Fortune slots!

This was the picture inside our bathroom - didn't they know I was an Aggie?! The bathroom was also painted burnt orange! Ha!

Our hotel was decorated so pretty for Christmas so we made sure to take some cute pictures!

We had a good time this past week...I will post more about it later! Tonight we went to my Grandma's house. Every Christmas Eve we always go to her house to have dinner and to open one gift - it's a tradition we have had forever. We had Chicken and Dumplings tonight....it was good! I bought my mom "A Christmas Story" for Christmas so we watched that tonight while sitting by the fire.

Casino Trip 2009!!

We just got back from our casino trip we had so much fun! We got to the L'Auberge Du Lac in Lake Charles yesterday around 4:30. It is only about 3 hours away from our house so it did not take long at all to get there. It was very nice nice casino/resort that had several restaurants, a huge buffet, shops, and a nice pool with a lazy river. On our way out to the pool my dad and I stopped by the Wheel of Fortune dollar slot machine to see if we could win anything. I put in ten dollars and in 2 minutes I won $120. I couldn't believe it! My dad put in 20 bucks and he won $130 right after me! The pool had a swim up bar...I thought that was pretty cool!

The Pina Colada was so good!I started out with $155 dollars plus the $120 that I won at the very beginning and by 10:00pm I had lost everything! My dad was nice and gave me a little bit more to play with. We played on the Craps table most of the night and did pretty good! My dad was wearing an "Aggie Dad" shirt and there was a guy on the table that kept calling him that. He was kind of saying it in a sarcastic way so I do not think he is an Aggie fan. Lol. We played on the table till about 4:00 in the morning and finally got off. It was a pretty hot table! I was up a little over two hundred and my dad was up like four or five hundred dollars. My mom kept on calling me Mammy (my great-grandmother) because she used to love those slot machines as much as I do. I would be playing and she would walk up behind me yelling Mammmmmmy! She was also teasing me because I bought this big green diamond costume jewelry ring to wear for when I was playing Craps. Ha!

Here is a picture of my Dad and me before we went to play Craps. I bought this dress at Forever 21...I think it's so cute! It's similar to the dress I wore at my 22nd birthday party...I really like this style.

Oh I almost forgot to say...this morning my mom got to play Craps with a professional football player. She forgot his name but she said that he was betting tons of money. I think he was a player from Pittsburgh. I thought that was pretty cool!

Big Money!!!I had a great time!! Wish we could of stayed another night! Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day Weekend!
