First Official Day of Summer!

With last Friday being my last day of work, today I started my first official day of summer vacation. We didn't have kids all last week because Head Start's last day was the Friday before last. On that Friday, we had a little "Movin' On Up Celebration" for the children and their families. We served breakfast tacos for everyone in the cafeteria and then we went back to our room so the children could sing a few songs for their parents. They were so cute! We also played a slide show of the students throughout the year and gave them their certificates. I can't believe that they will all be in Kindergarten next year! I will miss them so much!

Last Wednesday, was my mom's school retirement party. She has been in education for over 30 years! When she first started her career in education, she started off as a high school marketing teacher, then became an elementary counselor, and retiring as a diagnostician. She is excited about retiring...she is looking forward the most to her morning and afternoon naps! : )
.
My mom and the two other ladies that are also retiring this year!

My mom and some of her friends from work!

I'm going into education and she is leaving!

Last weekend my dad saved a little baby deer from our neighbor's pond with his fishing net....he was so proud!

I have some exciting news that I will probably share next week! Soo...stay tuned!
