This morning I went to the nail salon to get a pedicure and manicure. I absolutely LOVE getting pedicures! However, today I did not have a good experience! While I was getting my pedicure, my big toe started bleeding and wouldn't stop! I'm guessing, the lady picked at it too much when she was cutting my cuticles. First, she put some some type of oil on my toe to try to make it stop bleeding and when that didn't work she pulled out a package of ointment. I couldn't really read the name of the ointment but I thought it was probably something similar to neosporin.
Well....it was not neosporin! She gave me a package to take home and it was
Dental Relief! Dental Relief??? Really? I was thinking what the heck?! I've never heard of putting mouth ointment on your toes! Haha! I may not go back to that place again!
I hope my toe doesn't get infected. When I got home I poured alcohol on it and used neosporin (not Dental Relief). Lol. This is what it looked like after I doctored it all up! It looks a lot better now!

WEIRD!!!! I can't believe they gave you dental relief! Did you say anything? I wouldn't have given a tip ... might sound harsh, but blood = no tip when I go!
I tried a new salon a few weeks ago...I nearly blew up when the guy complained that I only tipped him $5...uh who the heck complains about a tip to someones face? And it was a good tip! He was such an ass about it that I will never go there again.
oh no!!! I hope it's okay and doesn't get infected.. you hear horror stories way too often about that! Maybe the dental ointment will help... ;) hahaa
I'm so sorry that happened to you Christa! Don't even get me started on nail salons! I'm super paranoid about germs and worry every single time I go into those places. For years I had acrylic nails and would go there all the time. That's terrible she made you bleed in the first place. Second of all, putting that "stuff" on it is just insane! Dental relief??? What were they thinking?!!! Yikes! I would've done exactly what you did...alcohol, then Polysporin. And I wouldn't go in that place again! Oh and PS--I went into a place once and I already had a cut on my finger. During the manicure the nail tech. decided to put her own medicine on it, and before I could say "no thank you" she put it in my cut. I was SO MAD!! I still to this day don't have a clue what she put in it. Scary!
I tried a new place just before Christmas and I had a terrible experience! It was the most I have ever paid for a pedicure and it looked like a 5 year old painted them in the end and they wouldn't fix them. :(
Haha! Maybe it's like using windex on EVERYTHING?!

Wow! That's crazy! My mom just recently had a terrible experience at a salon and her thumb ended up getting infected and she had to have surgery on it!!! Be careful girl! Hope it heals quick!

Hey! I went to a place here in College Station not too long ago and they did the SAME thing to me! However, it was on BOTH my big toes. And one of them got infected because she only treated one of them! I will not be going back to that place! I wonder if it is the same place!

Yes! This happened the very first time I ever got a pedicure! My sister couldn't believe it, and she also couldn't believe that I was willing to go again...but NOT at the same place. :)
