Birthday Dinner and My Going Away Party

I haven't blogged in like five days so I thought I would give y'all an update!

Last Tuesday, the school I'm doing my student teaching at had a little celebration for all the student teachers! I'm one of four student teachers. The principle had a cake for us and gave each of us a really nice gift. I thought it was really sweet.

Tuesday evening we celebrated Kristan's birthday at Ozona's Grill and Bar! We had a fun night talking and drinking margarita's! I hope Kristan had a good time! Here are some pictures of our night....

Take ONE

Take TWO

Friday morning my sweet 1st graders and my mentor teacher had a going away party for me. We had juice, fruit, and donuts! I really couldn't of asked for a better mentor. She has been teaching for over 30 years and is a great teacher. I have actually known her for almost a year because she was also my mentor during Senior Methods last spring. We have a lot in common as well...she loves going to the casino and loves watching reality TV! : ) I can't believe that I'm DONE with student teaching....it went by so quick!

My students were so sweet to give me this gift basket....I love it! They also gave me gift cards to Barnes and Nobles and Half Price Books....I can't wait to go book shopping! : )

My mentor put together this notebook for me and inside was a letter from each student. I loved reading them....some were so funny!

I gave my mentor teacher a basket full of all of her favorite things! I hope she liked it! And I gave each student a little baggy full of stuff. In each bag I put a framed picture of me and them, a card, and a bag of skittles. On the frame I wrote in a permanat silver marker "1st Grade Rocks....♥ Miss. C". I think it turned out cute!

I will miss all my first graders but it's not like I'm not going to see them again! I'm a substitute for the district and I'm already subbing for my mentor three times in the next week! I'm so excited!!!

Hope y'all had a good weekend! I'm getting a massage later today....I can't wait!

How about them Aggies?!
