The first week of school is over! I cannot believe it!
Sorry for the lack of blogging and commenting. I have been super busy this week. Getting up at 5:30 every morning has been hard! I thought I was going to have trouble going to sleep but I have been ready for bed by 9:00 p.m. every night! My legs have been killing me and I also have huge blisters on the back of each heel, ouch! It sure is hard work being a career woman! : )
All my kiddos are super sweet and I have learned that first graders are pretty darn funny! We spent the majority of the first week putting away supplies, learning routines, going over procedures, and reading books! This week I just observed/assisted my mentor but next week I will actually start teaching some lessons! My mentor teacher gave me a bag of lifesavers yesterday. She said that I have been a lifesaver this week....I thought that was sweet!
I'm so glad it's the weekend! Last night me and my girlfriends went out to Ozona's for dinner/drinks. We sat on the patio and just talked. It was so relaxing and was really nice outside. Afterwards, I was ready for bed, ha! Today I'm doing lesson plans. I'm teaching five shared reading lessons next week! Wish me luck!

Thanks for letting me know you're hear to help when I start student teaching! I start my internship in 2 weeks and I'll be teaching 2 lessons. Ahh, I'm so nervous!!
