It's Friday!!!

(I had this post scheduled for Friday morning but for some reason it published tonight...weird). So did y'all watch the game? At first I wanted Alabama to win but as it got closer to the game I couldn't decide what team to root for. I wanted Alabama to win since I'm an Aggie and I'll root for any team playing against U.T. But....U.T. is in the Big 12....soo I couldn't make up my mind?! I felt so bad for Colt Mccoy. This was his last game ever and he got hurt within the first 5 minutes of the game. I would of been so mad!

Earlier this year I was experiencing chest and arm pain/discomfort. My doctor ran an EKG on me and everything turned out fine. Well this past week the discomfort came back so yesterday I had a 24 heart monitor put on me. It is different from an EKG because monitors my heart activity during my normal daily activities. In the waiting room I swear every person except me was over 70! I was a little embarrassed for being in there! Today at 2:30 I can take it off and hopefully next week I will find out the results!

It is SO cold here in Texas right now! I wish we would get some snow though! It is supposed to be in the teens this weekend - that's a little too cold for this southern girl! It's freakin colder in the south than it is in Alaska right now! That's global warming for ya!

Stay warm and have a good weekend!!!

I hope things warm up for baseball season soon...that was always my favorite sport in Aggieland. Gotta love the fans...

I hope your heart tests come back fine!

Was it a holter moniter that you were wearing? Those things are so weird, I don't think I could wear one for 10 minutes, let alone 24 hours!

I'm happy to see you all getting blasted with the cold weather, we hate to keep it all to ourselves up here in the great white North!

Happy Friday!

Aggie or not, I always have to go for my Texas teams... well, I take that back. I won't go for Tech. They are not friendly.

I felt bad for Colt last night as well. You know he had to be bummed!

Try to stay warm today!

We watched the game with our die hard Aggie friends! They were decked out in Bama attire- totally bummed me out!
On a different note, I have worn the 24 hour monitors before, many times- including one for 3 days!!! Discomfort is not the word as you know! The monitor did finally detect a mitral valve prolapse so look into that- it's sometimes hard to detect! Good luck!

ROLL TIDE ROLL!! Ha!! Girl I hope your heart test comes back clear...keep us updated. I have had an EKG done before bc I have something called {sorry I have no clue how to spell it} mitral prolapse?!?!?! something like that anyways heart murmur!! But I know the feeling when I went to the cardiologist I felt like one of the only young ones there....my first visit was when I was like 16!! Hey personally I think its great that we know what is going on with our heart.....you will be glad you had this done!!

I hope your health issues come out fine.

It's not getting over 20 degrees here in TN today! I'm with you...this southern girl over here needs some warm weather!!

I felt bad for Colt too. And looking at the replay it did not look that bad. Hopefully he will still be able to go on to the next level.

I had a friend who has had heart trouble and she has to wear a monitor like that once a month just to make sure. Praying for you and that the results are nothing!

Stay warm up there in CS. We are at 17 degrees right now with a single digit wind chill.

Oh, no! I hope everything turns out okay with the monitoring.

When my appendix ruptured I had to see alot of specialists and have all these procedures done. There were definitely times I was the youngest person there and I always felt kinda silly. But...it's important to make sure you're healthy and okay!
