A Hillbilly Halloween and Past Halloween Costumes!

I have always loved Halloween because it's the beginning of the holiday season. I love dressing up and going to Halloween parties. The past few years I have been a nurse, a 50's housewife, and last year I was Snooki. I'm short like her - I'm only 4'11! : )

This year Kyle and I are going as Jethro and Elly May from the Beverly Hillbillies! I'm excited for my cousin and best friend to come in this weekend for Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving and New Hair Color!

Last night Kyle and I carved a pumpkin for Halloween! I think the last time I carved a pumpkin was when I was a kid. I thought we did a pretty good job, however I think our Jack-O-Lantern may need braces, haha! I saved all the pumpkin seeds so I can roast them tonight! : ) It was fun!

Last night I got my hair done at a salon here in College Station called Chrome. It was my first time to ever get my hair done at this place and I loved it!  I decided to go darker and a little shorter! What do you think?

Pumpkin Patch and Gone Fishin'

Hope all of y'all had a great weekend! Last Thursday we took the Head Start kiddos to the Pumpkin Patch for a field trip! In Head Start we try to go on at least one field trip a month. The kids had so much fun looking at all the pumpkins and going through the corn maize. Afterwards, we took them to Sonic for lunch!

Saturday was the Fall Festival at the school I work at. Oh my goodness...it was insane! They had everything from a pumpkin patch, games, a cake walk, a moon walk, food, silent and live auctions, face painting, and a lot more! Supposedly, the school raises over $60,000 each year! 

After the festival, Kyle and I headed to Rockport for the rest of the weekend. My dad has been fishing in Rockport for the past month. After he retired earlier this year he bought a fishing boat. This month he has been staying in a condo out on the bay. I know he has been in heaven getting to go fishing everyday.

We didn't get there till around 5:00 on Saturday. My mom also came up this weekend. That evening, we went out to dinner with some friends of the family who were up there visiting as well. That night we fished out on the dock and I was the first to catch anything! : ) The next morning we took the boat out. Again, I was the first to catch the first two fish! I didn't know I was such a fisherman! It was actually a lot of fun. I have missed going out on the boat. 

We caught all Reds...no keepers though! However, my dad called earlier and said he caught a 27 inch Red this morning! He was proud! : ) We didn't get back until late last night so I'm going to try and go to bed early tonight!

Miscellany Monday

• Happy Monday! I have been a horrible blogger lately. I thought I would just do a post on a bunch of miscellaneous things!

• This morning I had a meeting at central office so I just had to go to work for a half day. It was kinda nice!

• A&M beat Baylor (BU) this weekend in Football! :) 

• My best friend Kimberly came into town Friday night. She had a wedding to go to on Saturday in Houston. She didn't get in till late so we just stayed in and watched a movie! It was fun seeing her!

• This past weekend I had a horrible cold....I'm starting to feel better though! 

• I'm really wanting to go darker for the Fall. I love my hair color in the picture below. Should I stay blonde or go darker?

• I'm so proud of myself for cooking two new recipes in the past couple weeks - Honey Onion Chicken and Potato Soup! I was surprised that both recipes actually turned out pretty good. 

• Tomorrow the high is only supposed to be in the low 70's! I'm so excited.

• Do ya'll think Jessica Simpson is pregnant?! This is the newest picture of her on People.com 

• Each year the school I work at has a Fall Festival. The theme for this school year is "rock". Each grade level had to make a rock music video to raise money for the festival. The students got to view all the videos and vote on their favorite by putting money into a jar. Do you know the song Play That Funky Music White Boy? Well for our video, we sang Play That Funky Music Teacher! I think it turned out pretty cute! :)  I was the drummer. I looked ridiculous!

New Job Update, OPI Texas Colors, and Fall TV!

I have been so bad about blogging during the week. I mainly just work during the week so I never have too much to blog about! My new job as an assistant is going well. I think I'm going to learn a lot this year working in a Head Start classroom. I just can't wait to get my own classroom and kids! Hopefully, next school year! : )

Whenever I get a pedicure I usually pick out an OPI color....it seems to stay on longer. I came across these OPI Texas colors the other day. I thought the names were so cute!

One thing I like about the Fall is Fall TV! I have been watching Dancing With The Stars, Biggest Loser, and X Factor. Have y'all watched X Factor yet? It's pretty much just like American Idol. I like it but it's not as good as I thought it was going to be! I'm glad Simon is back though!

What shows do you like? Do you know of a good drama I could start watching??

Fall Weekend Recap!

Hope y'all had a great weekend! I'm not ready for another work week to start back up again. Weekends are just not long enough. I wish we had three days off! I'm loving this Fall weather we are having here in Texas. I'm hoping the 100 degree temperatures are gone for good!

Friday night Kyle and I went out for margaritas at Los Cucos. Eating chips/salsa and drinking a margarita is my all time favorite way to spend a Friday night! Excuse the quality of these pictures - they were taken with my iPhone!

Saturday A&M played Arkansas in football. I can't believe we lost again! I always think we are going to win but end up losing in the end. This is the first year in two years we didn't go to the game in Dallas! :( Next year A&M is going to be in the same conference as Arkansas - the SEC! 

I only could watch part of the game because I had to work at 1:00. I finally found a part-time second job! Thank god! I'm hoping I will like it. Last night me and my friend Kristan went to the movies! We saw The Lion King in 3D. It was cute!
