Welcome to...
The theme for this week is...
Your First Job
I know many of y'all probably do not have a picture of yourself working at your first job so just tell us about! If you do have a picture, post it and then write a little about your job! For instance, where did you work? How old were you when you started working there? How long did you work there? Anything funny happen to you at while you were working?
I got my first job back when I was seventeen. I was a senior in high school and I had to get this job because I was taking a co-op class. I went to school half of the day (in the morning) and then in the afternoon I went to work. I loved it! : )
I worked for this little Italian restaurant called the Original Pasta Co. I started off as a hostess and then moved up to be a server. On the first day of being a hostess my manager had me go around and light all the candles on each table with a lighter. Well...I'm not that good with using lighters so I came home with huge blisters on my thumbs! I remember my dad ordering chicken wings that night and I had to eat them with plastic bags over my hands! : ) That would only happen to me, ha!
Leaving for my first day of work!
I do have one funny experience that happened to me working at the Pasta Co. that I will never forget! I was waiting on this huge party (who were called the dog walkers of The Woodlands) out on the patio one night. These people wanted to bring their dogs with them to dinner and the crazy owner of the Pasta Co. let them! I thought it was ridiculous! I'm not too much of a dog lover but I thought if wanted to get a good tip from these people I better just act like it. After I served the guests their entrees the owner told me to run to CVS and buy some dog treats to give to the dogs. By this point I was disgusted, ha! So as I served the people their Tiramisu I had to bend down and give their damn dog a treat too! : ) I guess it wasn't too bad....at least I got a good tip out of it! Ha!
I only worked at the Pasta Co. for a year and quit when I left for college. Eventually, it closed down. I'm sure you can guess why, ha!
Link up! Can't wait to hear about your first job experience!
