Funny Kid Quotes and Home for the Holidays!

Last Thursday, Friday, and yesterday I subbed for my cooperating teacher.....it felt so good to be back! Those first graders say some of the funniest things! Here are a couple of things that just made me laugh....

This one little girl came up to me last week and said, "I have a boyfriend in the second grade and he is just a good man". I about died laughing! She must have heard her mom say that about someone before.

And then yesterday a little boy came up to me and said, "Are Mrs. K (the principle) and Mr. H (the assistant principle) married"? Haha! Too funny!

I'm sure as I continue teaching I will hear a lot more funny things! Teachers who read my blog do y'all have any favorite kid quotes???

Well....I'm finally home for Thanksgiving! I drove home last night from College Station! It's good to be back! My best friend Kimberly is coming in tomorrow and is staying for a few days. I'm excited to go to my Grandma's on Thursday and eat some good food! I also cannot wait for Thursday evening to watch the Aggies play the Longhorns! Last year we tailgated for the game since it was in College Station but I'm just going to watch it on T.V. this year!

Gig' Em Aggies!

I will probably not blog again until this weekend...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

One of my mentor teachers told me to start a journal to remember all the cute things kids say over the years. And, when you're having a bad or trying day, take out your journal for some laughs.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Kids are so funny! Our superintendent and his staff toured our campus last week, so of course we all reminde our little ones to be sure to make good choices, and make us proud. Later during lunch, a first grader told our principal, "Hey, I saw your owners this morning!"

Haha. Kids are too cute! My niece, who is 7, preceded to tell me last night that there are 2 boys fighting over her but she doesn't like either of them because boys are gross. I hope she keeps this mentality for many years!
