It's the Weekend!!!

ASorry I haven't blogged too much this week. I have been SO busy with tests and homework. I think I did good on both of my tests so I am happy about that!! I am still counting down the days till winter break!! Today President Bush Senior invited President Obama to come to A&M and speak. I did not get to go because it was just invitation only. The security was very tight here on campus today! Earlier this year I got to meet President Bush Senior at Big Event here at A&M. The story is actually kinda funny how I met him...

Back in March A&M held a event called "The Big Event" where students who go to A&M volunteer one day to help out around the community to say thank you. Before we headed out to start working they had a few people speak. One of the speakers was President Bush....I was so excited! Well after he spoke my friend Kristan and I tried to get closer to the stage to get a better picture of him. So as we got closer to the stage Kristan goes, "Mr. President, I was wondering if I could come up on stage and take a picture with you. My uncle got to take a picture with you at an Astros game and is always bragging about it. Could my friend Christa and I come on stage to take a picture with you and Mrs. Bush"? I was sooo embarrassed....I was acting like I didn't know her! Ha! I was trying to hide my face...until President Bush said we could!!!! So the secret service let us on stage and took a picture of us with him!

Isn't that SOO cool?! The pic did not turn out too great because they took it with my phone.

Today my friend Katy and I went to go see the movie Where The Wild Things Are. The movie is based on a children's book. I did not really like it....I thought it was kinda weird. I actually think it was a little scary for children too.

I am really wanting to see the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. This movie is also based on a children's book. I do not really like animated movies but I LOVED that book! Have any of ya'll seen these movies yet?

Tonight I am just having a chill night. I went over to my friend Natalia's house earlier to watch a movie. And tomorrow Matt (my cousins boyfriend) is having a party for his 21st birthday so that will be fun! The theme is Matti-Gras aka Mardi Gras. Ha!

Hope ya'll have a great weekend!! I am excited I get to sleep in tomorrow morning!! :)

Glad you saw the movie Where the Wild Things Are. Since it is scary for children, I think MK and I will skip it. Cool picture with the President!

That is so cool that you got to meet President Bush! I want to see Where the Wild Things Are, but I haven't really heard anything good about it from people who have seen it so far...

I saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, though! It was weird, because it was basically nothing like the book and there are definitely some weird parts. But, overall, I thought it was cute and really funny at parts!

Have a fun weekend :)

I was SO excited to see Cloudy... because it was one of my FAVE books growing up! But, it was nothing like the book. Still a cute movie on its own but definitely a let down... :o(
