Subbing, American Idol, and Casino!

Yesterday I subbed a Fourth Grade bilingual class. The kids were pretty good. The teacher I subbed for is a Reading/Writing/Language Arts teacher. She did not know she was going to be absent so I had to pretty much just follow her lesson plans....which didn't go into much detail. First I read the first three chapters of Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume to the students. Then I put them into pairs of two so they could work together to make a character trait Venn Diagram. They had to state the differences and similarities between two different characters. Then I drew a Venn Diagram up on the board... each group shared two differences and one similarity that they came up with. This past semester in my Children's Literature class we had to do a literary elements project on plot, characterization, theme, style, setting, and conflict using a children's literature book. I thought it was pretty cool that I got to teach something yesterday that I learned this past semester in college.

Today I stayed home... I was just worn out subbing last Friday and yesterday. Ha! I have been cleaning my house because tomorrow my friends from A&M are coming over! It should be a lot of fun! Tonight is Part 1 of the American Idol finale. Who are you rooting for?

Kris OR Adam????
I think I'm going for Adam! He is talented! But Kris is good too.

And three more days till I'm playing this....

Or this....
I'm excited!!!! :)

My poor baby girl - subbing two whole days with a weekend in-between. You must be totally exhausted!!! You sit down and put those pretty little feet up; you've had a rough week! Its just not right that you study all semster long and then have to sub during your break. Life's just not fair!!
