60th Birthday Party!

Today, I went into Houston with my best friend Kimberly to celebrate her dad's 60th birthday! Kimberly and I have been friend's for over twenty years so I have known her dad for a long time. He didn't know we were coming so it was fun to surprise him! The party was over at one of his friend's house who was also having a birthday. We had crawfish, beer, and a margarita cake!

Last Day in Florida!

The last day we were in Destin we spent the entire day down at the beach and we all finally decided to get in the water! Except my mom! : ) It was freezing but after a few minutes we got used to it!

The next morning, we were on the road by 5:30 to head back to Texas. It was a long drive home....11 hours! We had a fun trip though! I already miss the beach!

Jet Skiing, Dolphins, and Beach Pictures!

On Thursday, my dad and Kyle decided that they wanted to go fishing! I bought Kyle a new fishing pole for his birthday so he wanted to use it! : ) Kyle caught a Spanish Mackerel. He was proud!

 I think my dad was a little jealous since he didn't catch anything! Haha! 

Later that afternoon, they talked me into going jet skiing! I didn't really want to go. I was scared to death! I think I would of rather of gone parasailing again. I complained the whole time for Kyle to SLOOOW down. Haha! It wasn't too bad though. At the end we were able to see some dolphins!

DESTIN FLORIDA - SB Trip Part Two!

We left Mississippi early Tuesday morning. It was hard not to put one last bet on the craps table! Haha! We stopped in Alabama to eat at the Original Oyster House. I love oysters! Do you like them? I'll eat them fried or raw!

We made it to Florida later that afternoon. We decided to take the scenic route since Kyle had never been to Destin before. We went over this bridge that overlooked the bay. Isn't the water pretty?

After we unpacked, we went out to the beach for a little while and then had dinner at a pizza place that was in walking distance from where we were staying. Have y'all ever heard of the Mellow Mushroom? They have the best pizza! 

The next day, we spent most of the day out on the beach. The water was FREEZING!!!! It was a lot colder than in the summer. We were lucky to have really nice weather the whole time we were there though. The highs were in the mid 70's. I had fun reading my Jessica Simpson magazine and drinking Tequila Sunrises out on the beach! If you did not know, I'm a huge Jessica fan! : ) It seem's like she has been pregnant forever!

That night we went to one of my favorite hole in the wall restaurants - The Boat House! It's an old shack that is decorated inside with tons of one dollar bills.

While we were there, we ran into a guy that graduated from U.T. He said even though A&M and U.T. are rivals it's always nice to run into someone from Texas! : )

After we ate, we went to an outdoor bar that was next to The Boat House. Almost everyone in the bar were Aggies! I thought that was pretty cool!

Spring Break Trip Part One - Biloxi MS!

Well Spring Break is officially over! I'm already countin' down till summer break! : ) My dad found a really good deal at a resort we usually stay at in Destin, FL so we decided to head down to the beach for a few days! We always love going to Destin. We've been vacationing there for years! We usually go during the summer so it was kind of different going for SB. Kyle went with us and it was his first time to ever go to Destin! I'm going to break up our trip into several posts!

You know we couldn't go to Destin without stopping in Mississippi to do a little gambling! We didn't get to Biloxi until really late Sunday night. It was a loooonnng and rainy day in the car. We stayed at the Beau Rivage. It kinda reminds me of the Bellagio in Vegas. They have so many pretty flowers inside. I didn't have to much luck the first night we were there but I was able to break even on the second night! We had a blast playing craps...at least when we were winning! : ) My mom played a poker tournament and came in 6th out of 52 people! She was thinking she was all that. Haha!

Spring Break!

It's been forever since I last blogged! We took a last minute Spring Break trip to Destin, Florida this past week! The weather was perfect and the beach was gorgeous. I'll be posting about our trip later this week but first I wanted to post some pictures from last Saturday! Kimberly came down so we could go see Chris Young at the Houston Rodeo! Nothing is better than BBQ baked potatoes, fried snickers, cowboys, and country music! :-)
